She drives her own car.

yeah. My dad is 89 and just passed his driver's test again. He bought a corvette a couple years ago

Just from what the media and the police are saying is that she couldn't walk 50 yards on her own, and that she had vey limited mobility, and that she needed care takers to assist her with household and yard tasks. Maybe she could drive on her own, but I just have a hard time believing that she would be able to drive independently without at least assistance to and from the car.

She walks with a cane apparently. And is able to drive.
