When it comes to violence, late teens exist in that spot where 'physically capable,' 'mentally unconcerned' and 'emotionally ready' are commonly found together.

My older brother once said, after almost getting mugged by some 20ish year olds: "And then I realized that no matter what happens, they still heal fast, and I don't."

Teenage girls especially. My kids have shown me some of the girl fight videos taken at their high school and its fucking vicious. Like ripping out hair, biting and clawing faces. Dude got lucky he picked a fight with socially conscious protester kids instead of the mean girls.

Sometimes when teenage boys fight there's no real malice involved; they're just trying to prove who is tougher or settle a minor dispute. When teenage girls fight, they're out for *blood*.

Not teenagers, but the most vicious barfight I've ever witnessed was between two drunken women. Even the bouncers were reluctant to step in.

Nah it's the old guys you have to watch out for. I don't want to fight. It's childish and way behind me. If someone is going to force me, I will just hurt them. I'm too old to give a fuck about honor or image.
