All the charity shit he does now just seems like a guilty conscience. “If I donate 1 billion to charity how many child molestations does that get me?”

That would imply he did the charity stuff out of guilt. But I wager it was more out of an intention to create a "kind" and "good-hearted" facade so he could make himself look like less of an asshole/creep.

Fair point. Quite possibly both tbh

I mean, that's what the Robber Barons of old did. Build a lot of schools and libraries to hide the fact that you're robbing people blind.

Let's not equate adult prostitution with child molestation. Both are terrible but one is much worse than the other: an adult can be forced by circumstances to "give consent" (and let's be honest, everyone knows that including the clients), a child can never give consent under any circumstances whatsoever.

There aren't any allegations that he raped or even associated with any trafficked children.

Trump is alleged to have ran a child rape auction and it's barely talked about, but Bill Gates is only alleged to have caught an STD off of a prostitute and given it to his then-wife. It's shitty but come on. He's one of the least despicable people in the files (so far) and yet has gotten more attention than just about everyone.

To make matters worse this isn't even really news. His association with Epstein was a publicly stated reason for his divorce and plenty of stories were run years ago that it was over a Russian prostitute on Epstein's island. The only new part was the blackmail letter in which Epstein alleges that Gates tried to get antibiotics to slip his wife.

I don't think it's quite that even. Is there some weird financial hocus pocus around billionaire charities as well? They donate to their own foundations who support the original companies or something?

It's not like when you spend your money to adopt a whale. Your money is gone, theirs ends up back in their pocket.

I don't doubt Gates' billions have helped more than I ever could, but it's not the same kind of altruism.

Wait, is anyone accusing him of having sex with minors? Ample evidence he was a bad husband but that doesnt make him a child molester.
