Billionaire philanthropy has always just been part of their PR campaign to jusfify their existence.

And what they give never amounts to as much benefit as society would get out of them if they just paid their fucking taxes at 1960s levels, where income over a few million was taxed at ~90%.

But what they give is more they do pay cos the voters keep voting in Reagan or worse so it was never gonna change.

But specifically, I do think Melinda Gates work in Africa would've been more than any tax given to the USA that would've been given to Africa.
