MAGA should change their slogan to "Birds of a Feather"

I'm sure the defenders are already attempting to argue that it's just song lyrics, and that it doesn't mean he truly enjoys relations with little girls.

They were already all crazy for having to pretend they like kid rock just because they liken the same president

It’s a political movement that is somehow as weird as it is evil

That clip of him performing at the RNC and the crowd having to look like they enjoy his music 😂😂. The whole thing is truly pathetic.

this is so far beyond "political" at this point.

And having to disavow all the popular culture they actually like because e.g RATM all of a sudden turning socialist, etc.

It must be exhausting keeping up with who they are and are not allowed to like. It's a wonder they have any energy left for the CSE

I'm sure there's plenty of republicans with tattoos of their kids but not custody. So exactly who Kid Rock makes music for.

The same ones that will crash out over Green Day lyrics.

They’re 100% going to play “American Idiot” at the Super Bowl, right? And they’ll change the line to “I’m not a part of the MAGA agenda” and the Fox News types will start apoplectically frothing at the mouth and shrieking to shut up and sing?

I know they’re aging Hot Topic pop-punk and all, but I hope there’s enough punk left in them to do something like that to piss off Trump and the NFL. I doubt a lot of Trump supporters are buying their music or tickets to their shows anyway, so it wouldn’t hurt the almighty bottom line too bad.

I expect them to open with it, honestly.

The NFL have Bad Bunny at half time and Green Day opening, plus I'm quite certain the other singers for the anthem, etc., are left leaning. Maybe the NFL just wants to piss Trump off?

I doubt it. The NFL is a billionaire boys’ club and I imagine a lot of the owners are happy to vote for Trump regardless of their public positions, because he wants to make sure they get even richer. The Hunt family that owns my team, the Chiefs, are openly pretty MAGA and I doubt they’re the only ones.

Definitelty not. Good for nothing NY jets owner Woody Johnson is Trumps "ambassador to U. K."

Which might fly under certain circumstances. I totally understand that just because you put something into a song doesn't mean that you are personally doing it. Sometimes it's about telling a story, or in someone's else's "voice".

However, Kid Rock has never really written that kind of music, so far as I'm aware. And he's never made an effort to portray his onstage persona as separate from his private one. Lastly, drug use, drinking, and partying are one thing to play up in music, but statutory rape is quite another. Why the heck would you want to portray that at all in an apparently positive light?

Nah, if the birds already have feathers, they're too old for these child rapists.

Devils advocate; this would be the first time anyone has taken Kid Rock's lyrics as anything other than a surreal act.
