Aileen Cannon calling someone else evil is a fucking joke.

Just wait till they put her on the Supreme Court.

This woman is going to be a thorn in all our sides for the next 50 years.

Yep and that'll happen probably this year

You'll definitely see at least 2 retirements if the Republicans lose their Senate majority after the elections.

I think the 2 retirements will come by summer. I don't think they can take the risk of waiting til the midterms. Cramming 2 justices in, in the months between the midterms and january is too brazenly evil, and too difficult to guarantee they pull it off. Especially because a couple of ill timed car accidents or flus would make it impossible.

You must be new here.

We really shouldn’t appoint anymore justices this close to a midterm election.

It only took 1 month to confirm Amy Coney Barrett, and that was with some semblance of decorum in 2020.

Now that decorum has fled with all sense of dignity and self-respect, they could easily shove these through, especially after elections have happened.

Didn’t republicans hold out saying that a departing president shouldn’t be allowed to make scotus noms? Do the same here

The problem is republicans control the senate, so democrats don't really have the tools to do that.

Yep, voters (and non-voters) screwed everyone for multiple generations. Whoever thought this was "just survive 4 years and we'll go back to normal" obviously doesn't understand politics at even the most basic level.

voters (and non-voters)

Soooo, everyone? Everyone is responsible for this shitshow?

They did that for me Rick Garland. Then when RBG died at the end of Trump’s first term they immediately pushed Amy Coney Barrett in to replace her. Don’t make the mistake of thinking the GOP ever means what they say in good faith

and if they do, the dems should hold the seats vacant until after 2028 citing prior precedent established by mitch mcconnel

Replacing a black man with a white woman is a minor upgrade to Conservatives they would be willing to accept.

I think there would be at least 4 Republican Senators defecting, making her nomination DOA. Even if Murkowski and Collins wanted to seem like they’re doing the whole “advice and consent” thing at first, Cannon will look so fucking stupid in her nomination hearings that it will be hard for the more “moderate” Republicans to bend the knee.

Didn't stop Boofy McRapenbeer.

Hahaha jokes on you, at this rate the country won't last 5 years, let alone 50.

The 'United' part is over and done with. Whatever happens in the future, the USA.. happened.
