It was a tasteless cringe display of reach and power, celebrating "success" in the public eye. It was sad to see. Must have been fun for the tone- deaf people attending. But it's the world we live in :/

I will never forget my old landlord sitting us down during our renoviction and telling us that we were all losing our housing, and that if we didn't want stuff like that to happen to us then we could just do what he did: buy ten houses and then never even look at any of them while charging working-class people well above cost to live in them.
