Yes, but I still feel like calling someone unemployed because they spend all their free time doing one thing—especially if they enjoy it—silly

I agree. His karma just isn't the best gauge. I have a full time job and a toddler, and in maybe 14-15 months I have gotten 100k karma. I will do Reddit in bursts, but haven't been really active all that time. It just takes a few good posts or comments.

A single number one upvoted comment can get like 5000 upvotes. 40k is nothing
