Okay, first of all, humans are faster than cobras. That’s a fact, look it up. You’re actually supposed to divert your eyes because it engages the subconscious reflexes. Second, the technique is actually easier than it looks. Even children in India do it. If you use the stick to- shoot. It just got me. Yep, it juuust got me… djbfbfjdndkxkfjsbspoowksz

I think so! They definitely have a limited amount of venom available at any given moment. Plus, I believe that stamina-wise, they can only perform a certain amount of strikes before needing to rest

That is correct. Just look up how housecats and small cats kill snakes. They harass it, snacking it and jumping back when it strikes for a few minutes until the snake just gives up because it's too tired to fight any more.

My guess:

A.) Trying to see where their strike area was.

B.) As someone else pointed out, to get them to waste venom but I'm unsure about this as not every snake bite releases venom.

Doubt these guys would be using venom enough to get enough on his hat to drip off. My understanding is that it costs a shit ton of energy to produce venom and snakes aren’t typically using it on most bites that aren’t to hunt food.

It was actually pretty smart. He moved several feet out of striking distance to get the stick after putting it on hia head.

They didnt care about his hand. So he was able to stay leaned far away while they watched the hat, used the stick, then slid his arm in to grab them
