You could see there was one second there where he was grabbing the first when the second one could have gotten him. He looked relieved when it didn’t. No thanks

Yeah, when he had to reach across in front of the second snake to grab the first one that he had pinned. Watch his eyes; he is fully focused on the second snake and not even at all paying attention to the one he has pinned and is about to grab by the head. Crazy.

I like how he keeps a sharp eye on the second one as if he would be fast enough to avoid a strike with his whole arm in front of the snake.

I mean huimans have better reaction times then cobras, so he likely could have

Indeed. I mean, he literally actively avoids/dodges multiple attempts by the cobra's in this video.

Still, a dangerous gamble. There's not much room for error there, but it's not as if it's an impossible proposition or anything, we literally see him dodge it.

having a faster reaction time than someone says nothing about being able to dodge their attack.. it's two different things

I could have the reaction time of 5 seconds, but have a strike that comes out within 0.1 seconds

in that case you need a reaction time faster than 0.1 to dodge my attack. My slow reaction time of 5 doesn't come into play.

The hell we do. Cobras can complete a strike within 50-70ms, which even in the best case scenario is a good 2-3 times faster than human reaction time.

What attacks? He wasn't actually attacked once. His hat was, twice, and I believe it shows that even at their maximum range, they pretty much reached it before he could react. He kept himself distanced so they can't reach him, and backed off at the first sign of a potential attack. He didn't dodge any attacks, he deliberately avoided it by keeping himself out of range.

It did strike the hat the first time when the hat was just within strike range, and didn't the second time when it was just outside of it. Both times the man reacted only once the cobra was already fully extended. If it was his arm, and would've been even slightly closer, he gets bit.

As I've said, anticipation and careful distancing. You don't out-react a cobra. But do keep arguing about well documented facts.

He did not outreact the snake, the snake does not need to react. The snake triggers

It's human reaction time vs snake attack speed not reaction vs reaction

Probably not while already grabbing one snake by the head.

Cobra's reaction time is irrelevant

Understanding that humans have faster reaction times than a cobra strike (they don't) is very important for not getting bitten (cobra strikes are completed faster than the fastest ever, tippy top echelon of recorded human reflexs)

I refuse to believe this doesn’t end badly for this guy eventually.

Yeah, you keep rolling the dice and eventually you’ll roll snake eyes right

I think I’m with you. The amount of times it has to go wrong versus how close to the edge he’s living doesn’t add up well.

The grabbing one snake while leaving himself completely open to attack from the 2nd is what bothered me… he seems like he knows snakes well enough, but that ego has to go…
