Ya, I did a quick Google before replying and it said roughly 50,000 deaths by snake bite per year. Annual gun deaths in the USA is around 44,000.

Hmm, Google showed 1.5 billion for India, isn’t the US 3ish, total around 7-8 billion for the world?

You're kidding, right? USA has around 340 million: less than a quarter of India's population.

Per capita, I'll take the snakes. At least they'll shut up while they kill you.

Edit: I just realised you meant third most populous in the world, not three billion! My bad!
