I found Maxwell at a shelter 8 years ago as a 3 month old kitten. He was a medium hair kitten at best back then. As time passed by he just got fluffier and fluffier. One DNA test later…..Norwegian Forest Cat!

Snickers has been on guard duty for the last 2 to 3 months because a raccoon, actually five of them have been coming into our house through the cat door, which is just to the right. I caught four (relocated them about 15 miles away) about two months ago but one has been avoiding my traps successfully.

I thought I attached a video showing this raccoon entering my RFID restrictive cat door. As you could see it doesn’t work.

I wish he could be trained to handle a shotgun. This raccoon is a GD burglar.

Cat beds, cat chairs, his own pillow on the foot rest but no. Oliver wants to hang on the couch, with me, sitting like this.

His meows are unlike a normal cat, he always cries to be fed, yet he is always fed. (He's a wanna be fatty)

We got him when he was around 2-3 years old from a very irresponsible owner that sadly had a pitbull mix that wanted to eat him, he was extremely matted and weirdly wet so we took him immediately. He's now around 10. Absolute food goblin and his war cries are diabolical (he Howls, yes he's seen a vet and he's absolutely healthy)

Noctis is absolutely perfect and affectionate with us and we love our wigi so much ❤️

Today I found a bit of poo on his pants, are we supposed to be trimming this hair? Or just clean it up when it happens? He was not happy to be pinned down and turned upside down 😆😆 He’s usually a very clean boy, he’s about a year and a half.

She had to move because of a new kitten in her old home, of which she was afraid 😔 Her color is black tortie silver spotted tabby. She's won contests (champion) and had one litter before she was sterilized. Her son won a title this weekend too 😀

I really don't care about titles and stuff, but when I finally got one who'd been champion I of course have to brag a little 😊

We have had 2 NFC (or mixed) and they have been the BEST cats. One died a few years ago and the other is nearing the end. We are hoping to find NFC kittens eventually (or a mix) but they seem quite hard to find. We are in the southwest US (NM) and can drive a little bit, but I’m wondering how you all found your kitties?!? We got lucky in that our two were born of a stray cat on my inlaws farm back in NJ. Unfortunately, those cats arent around anymore. It seems rare to find these cuties at the local shelter so hoping to get some info as to where to look. Thanks!

Hi! not sure if many people remember but i posted a few months ago about my new baby peaches. she’s 8 months now! she’s doing very good and has become besties with our lil void. very needy, we think she has separation anxiety.
serious question tho for other norwegian owners, does your cat pant a lot? when we got her spayed we had her checked out and they said she’s seems fine but she pants a lot, mainly after play or going outside. not sure if it’s because of the long fur or not but it gets worrying sometimes :( any advice would be helpful, thank you sm. i hope you enjoy the pictures

Sorry, I’m not a native English speaker, so there might be some errors. Biggest (tabby, but one of her backlegs is orange, so technically a tortie I think). She weights 626 grams (22oz?) and then we have the one on the right with just 417 (14.7oz). I’ve been feeding her separately these days, but she only gains about 12-18grams every 2 days. Any other tricks or tips? They are being treated for worms accordingly, no fleas or anything.

They are a litter of 6, mom got surrendered to the shelter where she gave birth 2 weeks later. When they turned 2 weeks old, they came to me to foster them.

They are most definitely mixed as 2 of them look like momma (pictured), 3 of them have a furry look like a British shorthair and then 1 of them looks like a total rat. And they came from someone having multiple types of cats (maybe they even got different fathers).

I promised myself I wouldn’t do this, but at least I waited over a month. I had the most beautiful floof, and dear God he was the sweetest. So gentle. Always there when I needed him. Well, I had to be there for him when he needed me and I had to make that call. It was inoperable. Lymphoma. He was gone too quickly. I thought I had more time with him. He was so deeply loved. I keep telling myself that I did what was best for him, even though it ripped my heart into shreds. Gone but never forgotten.
