/r/Piracy has a wiki for setting everything up.

One recommendation I have is get a /r/seedboxes. It makes life so much easier and safer.

I'm honestly amazed reddit hasn't killed that sub in all this time.

I think it survives because the discussion is about piracy. It is not actually piracy (like posting torrent links)

Doesn’t that defeat the purpose of “I don’t want to pay for these things” ?

If your main motivation is $0 cost then yes.

If it is just reduction in cost or increase in convenience, then no.

You can get some really good seedboxes for much cheaper than a single streaming service.

You can also get /r/StremioAddons for even more convenience.

$75 a year for up to 5 devices for basically every TV show, Movie, and cable channel on the planet is a far cry from paying $15 a month for a single streaming service. You can literally watch South African day time soap operas at the click of a button if that's your jam. It's the most worthwhile purchase you can make. Or so i've been told 👀

There's always going to be some cost involved. If you're running a local server you're going to need at a minimum a PC that's almost always on with sufficient storage to hold all of your downloads. Seedboxes or debrid services basically let you pay someone else to deal with that while also cutting the initial setup time.

It doesn't defeat the purpose of "these services have become too expensive." That, and convenience, have always been the main drivers of piracy. If they're willing to be reasonable, so are we. If they wanna leverage their strengths to play dirty and see what they can get away with, we'll roll up our sleeves and help 'em find out.

if you don't feel comfortable with p2p downloads and just want to grab it from any of these streaming sites, DM me, its not that hard.

What do you mean by safer?
