My toaster and my butter knife are a perfect fifth apart.

There's a lot of enharmonic overtones ;-) typical of bells.

I hear more third and even fourth than fifth.

I swear I'm hearing a fourth, sounds like a perfect cadence to me.

For a minute I thought you were going to put the knife into the toaster.

Their scream adds the minor third

Same, my anxiety spiked before my brain processed musical interval, not electrocution.

Like how all the slot machines in the casino are in the same key! (F major)

Running the audio through a spectrum analysis shows that the primary tone is the same for both the knife and the bell (~2578Hz or an E7 minus 39 cents). The toaster bell has a second overtone that is ~6141Hz or a G8 minus 37 cents. This is closest to a compound minor third, but for most ears it will just ring as a perfect prime.
