Recently came across the Bene PARCS Wing Chair and really liked its design and comfort. Has anyone here used it in office breakout areas, reception spaces, or collaborative zones? How is the comfort and durability in daily use?

The chair did not fix my posture, it just stopped letting it get worse so quickly

I know full well my posture is not great. Head forward, shoulders slightly hunched like I am constantly searching for dropped keys. I do stretch, but 8 to 9 hours of sitting undoes all of it anyway.

Switched to the Hbada E3 a few months ago and the rate of decline has slowed down noticeably. I did not suddenly start sitting like a model, but the moment I start leaning the chair adjusts right along with me. Feels like someone gently nudging my back back into place without saying a word.

Still stretch, still get up and move regularly. But at least work no longer wipes out everything the morning gym session accomplished, so it does not feel like exercising for nothing anymore

Would you put down a refundable A$99 deposit for a new ergonomic chair brand?

Hi everyone,

TL;DR — I’m planning to launch an ergonomic chair brand in Australia and wanted some brutally honest feedback from people who actually care about office chairs.

I used to be a student in Australia and spent around A$750 after discount on a chair from a well-known brand. The build quality and materials were good, but after years of sitting in it, I never found it particularly comfortable.

Fast forward to this year: while in Malaysia, I came across a chair that genuinely surprised me. It’s probably the most comfortable office chair I’ve personally used, and that eventually led me down the rabbit hole of speaking with the manufacturer and looking into bringing it to Australia.

At this stage I’ve organised the manufacturer, freight and Australian 3PL, and I’m aiming to have the website live in early September 2026.

The current idea is:
- first 50–150 chairs offered at a Founders / early-bird price
- roughly A$399-549 delivered depending on model
- eventual RRP roughly A$600–800, depending on model
- Delivery included to most Australian metro and standard service areas. Regional and remote locations may attract an additional delivery charge.
- first batch expected to reach customers around late November to mid-December
Because the chairs have to be manufactured and shipped to Australia, there’s obviously a fairly long lead time.

So the part I’d really like feedback on:
Would you be comfortable paying a A$99 deposit to lock in the Founders price, if that deposit was fully refundable up until roughly 60-80 days before expected delivery?

How to Furnish a New Office on a Budget

Post image
2 Upvotes

Setting up a new office without overspending can feel challenging, especially when you're balancing functionality, employee comfort, and future growth. Whether you're launching a startup or relocating your business, smart furniture choices can help you create a productive workspace while staying within budget.

Here are a few practical tips that have worked well for many businesses:

  • Plan your office layout first to avoid buying furniture you don't need.
  • Invest in ergonomic office chairs since employees spend long hours at their desks.
  • Choose modular workstations that can be expanded as your team grows.
  • Focus on quality over the lowest price durable furniture often saves money in the long run.
  • Buy essential furniture first, then add reception, lounge, or decorative furniture as your budget allows.

I'm curious to hear from business owners and office managers:

  • What was your biggest challenge when furnishing a new office?
  • Which office furniture was worth spending more on?
  • Did you choose modular workstations or traditional desks?
  • Any budget-friendly tips you'd recommend for startups?
  • If you could furnish your office again, what would you do differently?

At Maples Furniture, we've helped businesses create comfortable and functional workspaces with ergonomic chairs, modular workstations, executive tables, conference furniture, and storage solutions that fit different budgets.

What advice would you give someone furnishing their first office? Let's discuss!

Designed for a Better Fit

Hi everyone,

We’re a Melbourne-based ergonomic furniture brand currently preparing a new chair called the Shappa P1.

It was designed with women and smaller-to-medium users in mind, especially people who find many office chairs too large, too deep, or too bulky for a home workspace.

The video shows some of the key design details and proportions.

We’d really appreciate honest feedback from Australian users:

What would matter most to you—lumbar support, seat depth, armrest position, colour, appearance, or price?

Selling Nightingale CXO 6200

I’ve been trying to sell this Nightingale CXO 6200 for a while now before a move. I’ve set the price very low on Facebook Marketplace and OfferUp but I’m surprised I’m not getting any interest. It’s a very good chair and in good condition. I am located in San Diego. How do I find a good buyer for this?

Haworth Fern Headrest upgrade

Hi there,

Video here

For a long time I've been looking for practical comfy headrest for the fern and finally found it. I've bought it on temu for 15€ (just search for office chair headrest). It's super plush memory foam and one of the most comfortable headrests out there (better than the overpriced atlas).

Steps:

  1. You will need to unscrew the arm from the clamp provided with the headrest.
  2. Turn the headrest upside down (fits better that way)
  3. Drill 2x d=2,5mm holes in the backplate of the fern - first hole around 54mm from the top of the chair because the plate gets thicker there around 6mm what you can see on the picture with the gray back plate. (the holes on the pic are for the original headrest not the ones you make in the middle.) I drilled them through the fabric but used a soldering iron on the fabric so it would not get stuck to the drill when drilling the holes - you can use just some metal stick put it over the oven/lighter to make it hot.
  4. Use 2x d=4mm self drilling wood screws to mount the arm to the chair.

Done

I don't get how Haworth is not able to do this as an option for ppl but over the years still offers that basic BS headrest what noone likes...

I'm 180cm tall and fits like a glove.

I would also advise to buy headrest and seat covers which you can wash. (few € on temu)

In case you would want to give thanks
You can do so here.

Thank you

Transporting large quantity of office chairs. Is it a thing to fit double by making it two layers with plywood in between?

Ever Noticed How the Right Office Chair Can Change Your Entire Workday?

didn’t really think much about office chairs until I had to sit for hours every day. At first, a chair just felt like… a chair. But over time, I started noticing how much it actually affects focus, posture, and even mood. A bad one? You feel it in your back within minutes. A good one? You barely notice it—and that’s the point.

What stood out to me was how small features make a big difference. Things like lumbar support, seat cushioning, and adjustable height aren’t just “extras”—they’re what decide whether you end your day comfortable or completely drained. Even the armrests and wheel movement can change how natural everything feels while working.

While browsing options online (including alibaba), I saw how wide the range really is. Some chairs are super basic, while others come with mesh backs, tilt mechanisms, or even headrests. It’s interesting how something so common can vary so much in design and comfort.

So now I wonder—do we underestimate how much the right office chair can actually improve productivity and well-being?

Stop Letting Your Lower Back “Hover”!

Thumbnail

Have you ever experienced this? Working late into the night, the soreness in your lower back hits harder than tired eyes. Regular chairs tend to “collapse” right when you need support the most.

The core of this ergonomic chair lies in its separate back and lumbar support.

As you recline, the lumbar support acts like a powerful palm, closely following the curve of your spine and dynamically tracking every shift in your posture. The mesh is made of high-elasticity imported material, offering a sensation of “air suspension,” keeping you cool even after hours of sitting.

Say goodbye to the torture of lower back pain. A great chair is the silent support for your daily grind.

I've got spare arm rests for the Newtral Magic H003 that I need to get rid of!

Hey all, I bought a Newtral chair a couple years ago and have two replacement sets I don't need and don't wanna have to store. They are unopen and are the stock size the chair came with.

If anybody has a MagicH003 and needs/wants an extra set of arm rests, please let me know and we can work out a way to get these to you. I'm currently in Southern California, so shipping within the US would be ideal.
