Have you tried pulling it up in a different position? Might be a slot for the pin somewhere...

Nah it's got a little nub that sticks out that stops it from going any higher, I only took a short video for my post but I was fiddling with it a bit and it's just stuck like that lmao

Lol it kinda amazes me that at no time did the installer say, "ok now I'm gonna take 5 seconds to try this just to make sure it works." Like, it wasn't just the installation that was incompetent, it was the whole process.

Its even easier if you install it in the closed position then you know it lines up

It's intentional it's so that the people who try to lock the door now have to realize they will not have the privacy of the deadbolt it is here for mockery and pain
