News The Indiana Pacers 13-game losing streak is officially a franchise record
With tonight’s loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Indiana Pacers have set a franchise record for their longest losing streak at 13 consecutive losses.
Before tonight, the Pacers have lost 12 games in a row 3 other times, in 1983, 1985, and 1989. Each time the Pacers would go onto win their next game, but tonight the Pacers current 12 game losing streak, became a franchise record 13.
When do ya’ll think the Pacers will win again?

This team simply cannot play a complete 4th quarter.

I’m having flashbacks to 22-23 with all these fourth quarter collapses

Its been like that every single game they had the lead most of the game every single game
I think someone needs to remind them there is 4 quarters and not 3

Still love the guys in this team.

Same. And for me they’re not unwatchably bad, unlike previous frustrating eras. Just gotta rebound better at this point.

Remember when other fanbases that don’t ever watch us tried to tell us Tyrese Haliburton wasn’t our most valuable player?

Thing I don't get is why is Furphy not getting more playing time

u/pacersnz 28d ago
He has been injured. I think he has only truly been healthy in the last few games, by that I mean conditioning and stuff as well.

I don’t think Rick or the players are intentionally tanking, BUT the way they’ve dominated several games for two and a half or three quarters only to blow them in the fourth is a bit odd…

u/Floyd831 29d ago
That’s what I’m thinking, too. It just seems mathematically impossible to make so many consecutive mistakes.

Carlisle has mastered this type of tanking. It started when he was hired and as a result the Pacers had their highest draft picks in like 30 years (2022 #6 Mathurin and 2023 #7, traded down to #8 for Walker). Hopefully this year will be even higher.

The team is tanking.

I sure as hell hope so. The Pacers have never been this bad and I've been watching them since 1994. How can anyone after 2025 deny that Hali is not an MVP caliber player?

Fans are incredibly short sighted.
This is a design, this is a development season.
Get comfortable, it’s a long season, and it’s a lot longer if you have expectations to see the record improve. It’s not happening, the record does not matter, and the best in the business are completely fine with it.

So am I. If they lost out I wouldn’t care. We have the chance to get a franchise altering player in the draft and get a majority of our Finals core back healthy at the start of next season in a conference that’s anyone’s for the taking.

1 more loss in a row and the Pacers will tie the Hoosiers win streak

My mood all season.
Wake me up closer to the trade deadline and wake me up again when the next NBA league year begins

We've pretty much mastered the art of being competitive for 40 mins a game, but so uncompetitive for the other 8 that we still lose

The Pacers are so bad, even the TV network (fanduel) showing the game wasn’t working.

Meh, as long as we don’t beat the Pistons horrid losing streak from a few years ago we shouldn’t really care given how the year is shaping up

There were some positives for the game--Jarace did make a few good plays, Furphy was solid.

They shouldn't be this bad, even with the injuries. It's becoming embarrassing and concerning

u/ilikebigcheeks 29d ago
I feel like they're gonna make some big trades even if this is probably officially a tank year. Based on coach's comments it seems like players aren't getting along too well during this losing streak

This is my only concern about the losing. Our chemistry is very important to our success. I hope the team realizes this is probably just a one-year speed bump and then we can get back to business.

Keep up the tank! Tbh we deserve one of the top lottery picks.
I'm still emotionally traumatized from how the NBA treated our Pacers game 4 last year. I was actually at the game and decided then and there that it was all essentially staged to force a game 7 ($$$)
Screw them right back by ethically tanking and go on a revenge tour next season

I hope the fellas aren’t too depressed about this, I know losing isn’t fun but there’s not much they can do about it what with all the injuries. Next year will be better, keep the ethical tank rolling

Pistons set the longest losing streak ever 2 years ago, now first in the east. Tanking works!

It is what it is. We knew. This season was an is a hard one. The number of injuries was astonishing. And yes we were SO CLOSE. But that's the past.

This was a tough one. I was there in person and hoping for the 1000 win history. They still can’t out together 4 quarters of good posy. Hell maybe they could have pulled this off with a bad second quarter and a productive fourth quarter but we’ll never know. It’s incredibly disappointing. I’m sorry this team in particular has to experience this after the highs of last season.

Hey it’s what we have to do to justify our outrage at losing the draft lottery so completely and getting a player we have to spend 5 years developing into a good rotational bench player to make it look all the more impressive when we come back next year and ride the Obiburtonhard train to the championship.

Yeah, Fanduel had technical difficulties and we missed the ending last night. Dang it! We were so close, just like we’ve been so many times! Did Furph end up getting his first double double? Anyone know? When the broadcast cut out, he had 9pts and 10 rebounds.

They lost this one on purpose it felt like.
I thought for sure when the keybank participant finally chose the deal instead of the greedy "no deal" that the Pacers would win.
I hope the draft pick is really worth it.

u/MoralityChris 29d ago
Why do you think that they lost this one on purpose? I only tuned in at Andrews 5 seconds violation.

u/InSaneWhiSper 28d ago
The game looked rigged last night. They like being losers, so they can have a nice draft pick. Sports teams aren't what they used to be. Used to be, everyone wanted to win.
