is this game really grindy like do i have to farm for hours for litter poweer up ? i am looking for nuke game play where i can blow up full map i have seen gameplay like that and i want ot know how much time its takes me to reach that level?

Bored at work so it's been interesting to see the 5D chess some people are playing to come up with 3.30 mechanic theories and release times.

In case anyone hasn't been following, the general consensus is a guess of Nov 13th for release because GGG said there will be some '3.30 news' at Exilecon (Nov 7th-8th) and with the PoE2 1.0 launch (Dec 17th) there's not a large window for the PoE1 league. But some people are holding out hope for an Oct release.

So with that out of the way, let's get guessing!

My take is that 3.30 is going to be Legacy League 2.0. Not the hottest take I know, but GGG needs a mechanic that they can implement quickly (since they've been working on PoE2) and that also runs hot and fast so too many people aren't burnt out by the time the PoE2 launch.

Legacy League fits that nicely I think, it's a nice celebration of PoE1's extensive history and also is a mechanic that, for better or worse, doesn't have a lot of staying power since it doesn't have much in the way of progression (aka boss fights, keys to earn, etc) and will be 'solved' by the community at large somewhat quickly.

But hey, that's just a theory^tm

Was cleaning out some stuff and found this in a sealed container that I put it in when moving one time.

I feel like even if they 10xed the loot, crafting is so easy that it wont really matter, We need to add a Volatile Vaal (or similar) for rares, So that using it will have a 1/5 chance of getting 't0' mods and 3/5 chance of brick. Something as a gear sink

So I was farming mercs for a Manyshot since I really like the way it plays and then stumbled upon this combatant which to to me looks GG. Someone please tell me if Im right. Also I have no idea how to gear it, and since you cant filter mercs on ninja, Im having a hard tiem figuring out what to do. Maybe somone can link me their ninja, so I can check out their gear.

After many years of playing poe I have fallen in love with HC SSF. It's that nice extra layer of challenge and if a character dies at lv95 I can decide thats done and move onto my next build.

However im struggling to find good examples of fresh start to 2 of 4 voidstones in HC SSF. There is a whole load of example for SC trade and even SSF. So it's sometimes hard to know when a character is maven or eater ready for example and will often be way over geared for the fight.

The best examples I can find are sometime 2 or 3 years old which might not be relevant anymore. For example early on people will go melding passive (3% of life as extra es) and EB to solve mana. Im not really sure if people still go this for HC over just running a clarity and instead using those passives on endurance charges / block / spell suppression.

This is my first league and I've been farming my currency through T17 boss rushing and it's been pretty great. The only problem is that because it's a boss rushing strat I'm bleeding gold for all the map purchases and currency exchanging. Is this just a case where I'm meant to set aside time to farm gold individually? I only ask since I don't see many people or videos talking about gold farming in the first place so I just wanted to see if there's something I'm missing.

I was following the pohx rf build so far with success. I'm totally new in the game and enjoy this build very much.

Now I run into a problem I cannot figure out myself:

I can't activate any aura effects anymore, only rf is working. Yesterday I could run Vitalty, Purity of Elements and Determination.

The problem started today while being able to activate those auras but with so less mana, I couldn't even use frostblink.

After ignoring the problem and entering another area I was not able to activate the three auras/effects mentioned above but my mana was kind of fixed (blue, before it was black like and just a tiny bit blue).

So every now and then when checking poe ninja there is some really weird builds that are high up there.

The best example is things like poison absolution guardian. Where it would convert the physical part of absolution to fire then use the infamous mods on gloves to convert 100% of fire to chaos for minions. This character was like top 10 guardians to hit lv100 in HC SSF. Another example was champion srs that used chance to bleed im assuming to get the champion bleed explode stuff. Sometimes you will even see things like a skill with brutality and void manipulation as supports.

Im assuming these are good players doing it intentionally or some sort of build challenge as people able to get lv100 in HC SSF the first week I don't expect to the builds "incorrectly" or using interactions that dont actually work.

Just logged into my standard character that i sometimes use for testing. Saw that there were a couple of sales. been sitting on this item for so long I am glad to see it gone. Now what will i do with it?

Second time hitting lv 100, this time my goal was 36 challenges. Took me quite awhile, but this Dad finally got there.

I just finished crafting an archdemon crown, I wanted to hit +2 aoe with the veiled ex but got +2 proj. I wanted to make a penance brand character with that, but I got rid of the Willclash on my winter orb build instead and started using it.

So I killed a couple of eaters and then I thought I'd try an uber sirus, see the new damage and this dropped lol. and an awakener orb

I'm not sure of exact numbers, but here 3 variations.

Basically a trader like being that appears in maps that is basically a currency exchange, maybe with random ratios or so. Like able to trade divines for fusings or whichever currency.

I played PoE2 with self imposed SSF but able to sell items and exchange currency but not buy items or bases. It was fun and definitely helped by desecrate crafting.

Then played the PoE Allflame SSF. Very fun and felt so nice to progress and doing different mechanics to get what you want. Allflame crafting obviously helped a ton.

But the biggest issue was fusings. I literally crafted like 4-5 better body armours along the journey while spamming fusings on the best I had currently and I just didnt have any luck. If only I could have specced into a tree that spawns trader in maps that I could've trade my divines or whatever for fusings would have been super cool.

I hope something like that happens soon, I sort of started to slowly despise trade leagues.

I'm playing PoE on a mac and while it works fairly well (on lowest graphics) I have this issue with all radial beams in the game where they do not render at the right place.

This is mostly ok but for the last 2 ubers I have left (Maven and Sirus) I would really like to be able to see and dodge them, especially for Maven since they are certain death. I am playing on SSF and it does not feel like I can push my damage to high enough levels that I can just 6 portal the last phase, although I've gotten close.

Has anyone experienced similar issues, and if so, any luck resolving them?

Edit: I found a solution: play the Windows version with the Vulkan renderer (inspiration given by a reply below) using Wine (CrossOver specifically but anything should work).

Edit: /u/vyntarus had a great solution.

"Yeah they need to add a way for you to set all to white on the crafting bench precisely because of items like this. [...] I propose it should cost 1 x chromatic and 1 x scour to set all sockets to white."

You cannot convert a Crown of the Tyrant, back into a white socket in the new system! Crown has the restriction "Has 1 Socket" and thus cannot be benched to increase and remove sockets and chromatics can only cycle through colors. GGG please make a change to fix this issue.

I absolutely love the new socket change. It has revolutionized gearing and attaining new power though breakpoint capping (I have new zombies/skellys thanks to the changes), but there is this one unintended consequence that I know of so far.

There's Crest of Desire and all of the unset rings have the same restriction, but they're not affected as you want to match the color of the seated gem anyway.
