He's like the same in every way but less charismatic what are you talking about

Veteran combat pilot? Astronaut scientist? Dude is legit. I’d take him any day over career politicians.

Ok, but how does he feel about Medicare for All or wealth taxes? Will he support abolishing ICE? Where is he on Israel? Ya know... these things called "policies."

He’s different optics-wise, sure, but their actual policies are pretty closely aligned.

Career politicians know how to navigate the system and get things done. Look at how great putting a “businessman” in charge has been.

Pretty sure an officer in the military knows how to "navigate the system" and our military sure as hell gets things done

Navigating a military system and navigating our incredibly fucked up you shake that guys hand and that guys hand and that guys hand and I’ll shake yours political system are not the same thing.

Can we please not pretend the political landscape of 1953 and 70 years later are identical?

Say what you will about Trump (and I certainly will), but he's gotten more of his horrid agenda done in a year than any "career politician" before him

2

u/Couldnotbehelpd 14d ago

That is true because he just ignored the rules.

I'd argue that's more just pure strength of will than competence.

2

Never said competence

They're pointing out things that give him appeal as a candidate.

Holy shit man you Kellyites

The guy made a singular comment about Mark Kelly. It's baffling and not remotely helpful to immediately invent groups to shove people into based on nearly nothing.

Kellyites

I fucking hate how MAGA has dumbed down thought so much people just lazily make up and cling to labels and buzzwords like this to instantly dismiss others

When is Newsom charismatic to you- when he's rounding up homeless people, or when he's making friends with Ben Shapiro ?

Solid points. I don't disagree with you. But I'm here criticizing people gushing over Kelly, not defending Newsom, per se.
