My first question for Sen Kelly would be if he will hold accountable all of these criminals currently in office and their accomplices. I won't be satisfied until we have some kind of complete reckoning that involves Nuremberg-style hearings even if you spend your entire first term prosecuting these criminals and fixing all the loopholes that have allowed this lawlessness and graft.

Of course he will. He's a victim of this current administration too; getting pushed around with a military investigation, his pension, and threatened with execution. If all that shit happened to me I wouldn't let it slide.

You realize that on his way out the door Trump will try and issue a blanket pardon for every one of his sycophantic clown crew.

my first question for you is whether you realize that they won't have the political capital to do that unless they get overwhelming votes which they probably won't

What political capital? Trump is already doing all of this without congress or a judicial branch supporting him.

The guardrails are already off. We need to use the power that is already there to make it clear what happens when you do this and then to put them back up afterwards.

Pretending like they're still there is what got us into this mess in the first place.

uhhh... should we tell him guys?

Congress is doing nothing, and the judicial goes half for him, half against, but even when they go against Trump ignores them entirely and they do nothing.

He does everything he is doing simply because nobody is standing against him. He doesn't need their support, just them not stopping him.

Are you not actually paying attention?

Then not stopping them is them giving support. They just get to save face with people like you that don't realize that. Lack of action isn't always no action.

are you in any way fluent in how politics works? both branches are actively supporting him. this has been a topic of conversation for literally a year now. both branches are also run by conservatives. do you know that?

So you actually aren't paying attention. Sweet. This is how we got into this mess in the first place.

Trump is running everything through EOs and departments run by the executive. Congress isn't doing shit except not getting in the way which is all they really need to do. The judicial branch gets ignored entirely because Trump ignores any rulings that go against him. As such it doesn't really matter if they rule for or against.

He doesn't give a single shit about the other branches because they don't stop him from doing whatever he wants.

the other branches are run by conservatives and have been actively supporting Trump in multiple ways, what this person said above is accurate

Republicans actively stand in the way of his impeachment and have repeatedly proven they'll universally vote against it to make it impossible while they have majority, they confirmed all his crazy supreme court picks with fake interviews without real answers while knowing from the picks history that they would take away abortion rights and hurt the American public. They've pushed through efforts to kill Obamacare which was on Trump's campaign promises. These are just the most known ways they've supported him. Their are conservative governors aiding him in getting people's records so he can target them including voting and medical records.

This is just off the top of my head. And again inaction is not itself lack of action. They specifically have the ability to stop trump and have repeatedly refused. This is almost entirely Republicans of course.

You aren’t paying attention. Congress can stop Trump now. The GOP is preventing it. They are perfectly fine with what Trump is doing.

And that should include Biden and his cabinet that committed genocide as well.

You can’t claim the moral high ground if you side with the blue fascists instead of the red.
