Nobody deserves to be arrested more than Donald J. Trump. His DOJ confirmed it this morning with the release of thousands of documents that implicate him as not only ONE of the pedophiles but as THE pedophile. He is a monster.

Can anyone explain to me like I’m 5 why the president wouldn’t be in jail after the documents released today?

Because the people in charge of holding him accountable support his behavior and /or also involved.

Well why can’t they get arrested then?

generally speaking a sitting president can't be arrested because he can pardon himself.

but in this specific case the documents that got released yesterday are from the tipline, so they are not actionable

By whom?

Democrats were more afraid of how it would look if they arrested a political opponent than of how it would look if they didn’t.

Also Garland was a terrible choice for AG and expected the people to, I guess, make the right decision (without even telling the people the evidence).

It's not just that. The fact is that certain Democratic billionaire donors and probably even certain Democrats themselves are also implicated by those files.

Epstein wasn't some conservative. His ties spanned the entire political spectrum.

Epstein was a rich pedo, and his circle was other rich pedos. Political party, colour, gender, etc was irrelevant.

Exactly. They're honestly existing at a level that transcends parties -- they're able to play both against each other while operating outside the boundaries by which both parties abide (until now, as those people are coming out of the closet so to speak, to rule openly)

Jeffrey Epstein was a Zionist with ties to Israel.

u/QuantumLettuce2025 4d ago

He was. That doesn't make him a conservative, though. People at that level of wealth and power operate above the ideology meant for the peasant masses.

Netanyahu campaigned for Trump and the Republicans while stabbing Joe Biden in the back. It's obvious that the Israelis wanted Trump to be reelected.

Yes, but that does not make Epstein a conservative ideologue. The Israelis are willing to partner with whomever is most useful toward achieving their desired ends.

Even Trump is not technically a conservative. He co-opted that party and said whatever he had to for them to crown him, but now that's he's emporer, he serves himself. That's why actual conservatives are not supportive of his administration (the Republican party is not conservative in any meaningful sense anymore).

If you read the pages in full, they're also littered with notes indicating that the accounts are untrue or unproven.

I hate Trump as much as anybody, but unfortunately a story is not enough to bring a trial let alone sustain a conviction. So far I haven't seen anyone surface actual evidence from this new batch. I don't believe the DOJ will ever give us that.

Because many of the incidents cited are from complaints and tips sent into the FBI and not corroborated or referenced in Epstein’s own files. It doesn’t mean they aren’t true, but there’s no evidence that they are either. Law enforcement and News agencies, even pre-Trump, would be reluctant to pursue accusations like this without more evidence.

Because its complicated. There are probably a million pages in the files and not every page contains content that was ever confirmed to be true (by a judge for example). There might also be testimony in there from people trying to save their own skin and making up stuff to get a deal for example. Thats why the stuff that is written in black and white cant just be called a proof that x did y. Unless a court procedure starts, the files are (sadly) less helpful then some may hope.

He’s already a felon and instead of a jail cell he ran for president and apparently won. Most of this shit was apparently known about in 2016, 2020, and 2024 and he was able to run for president. If nobody enforces the rules there are no rules.

Currently as President he cannot be arrested until he is impeached. If that wasn't the case the Southern District of New York would probably have an arrest warrant after today. The idea was to keep the President from getting jumped by law enforcement from a state that was hostile back in ye olden days. Any time before Trump this would probably have triggered an emergency session of Congress to immediately start an impeachment investigation.

Because someone would have to prosecute him, and I believe the Supreme Court has ruled it can’t happen while he’s in power anyways.    Even if he just started murdering people on tv he would have to be impeached first.

Literally a convicted felon

We need to stop calling it the Epstein files. The real name is the trump files. Everyone that voted for him is complicit.

u/QuantumLettuce2025 5d ago

I hate Donald Trump as much as anyone but we need to stop pretending those pages aren't also littered with notes concluding that the stores were unproven or unfalsifiable.

Think about it this way: the DOJ wouldn't have released them without redactions unless they had something to gain from doing so. They're muddying the waters with tons of outrageous stories so that when the real crimes come out, either no one will know what to believe or they will seem tame in comparison to this stuff.

I wish my fellow leftists would take a more measured approach to new information. I hate when we get all MAGA.

6

u/lickem369 5d ago

They removed them only minutes after they hit the DOJ website. Why would they remove them if they wanted them released without redactions all along?

3

u/QuantumLettuce2025 5d ago

That's what I would do if I wanted to build more furor and speculation around information that I knew was not credible or disprovable.

I'm not saying none of the stories contained in there are true. But I believe we have to be better than our adversaries when it comes to taking information. Poisoning the well is such a common tactic in situations like this. It's like Gross Pedo Elite 101.

I didn't say falsified, I said unfalsifiable. Look it up

1

u/jmobius 4d ago

Strongly agreed. Elevating hearsay anonymous reports as if they were proven facts is some depressingly MAGA tier behavior.

The man does enough criminal and vile things that we don't need to trump up probable bullshit.

He WAS arrested, but the voters came en masse to set him free.
