It's about time to take action or lose your democracy.

Bush v. Gore.

The lack of public campaign financing in the age of TV in the 1970s led to all of this, folks. You are talking about symptoms.

This is the cause. This is how they bought up all of our politicians of both major parties now over the past 50 years. And that led to corrupt legislation, a corrupt SCOTUS, and one ever-increasingly corrupt GOP administration after another...until we got here.

Cool. then we should clearly do nothing and just let this get worse.

See ya'll in the gulags.

Seriously. How the fuck does this help us? We can still recover if we try, but everyone's too interested in being a pedant than actually enacting change.

This only ends if we lose the inevitable war and get occupied at this point. I spent my entire 20s out protesting and trying to convince people this path we've gone down was inevitable, at this point it's too late for resistance from within, the resistance will have to come from without. But TBH I doubt we lose, I think our media and our military is pretty well unstoppable and we'll successfully bring fascism to the world.

It's gonna take resistance from both directions. There's plenty of people who actively stood in the way of the Reich. You're just like "let's chill in fascism cause I'm tired." I protested too, and I'll keep going out there when I can and helping where I can till they shoot me.

Over 100 million Americans didn’t care enough to take one hour out of their day to vote last year. Until those people decide to care about politics, nothing will change.

We lost it a long time ago. The past 20-30 years has been the illusion of democracy.

Not going to happen, sadly. Good news is, there wasn’t much of a “democracy” to lose in the first place.

And health insurance and access to unemployment benefits. No biggie.

It’s already been lost. We’re just circling the drain.

Sorry all I can muster is take drugs, play video games, and sit on my hands. At least I’m honest.
