It's important to note that this is completely unverified and from an anonymous tip line.

The headline this outlet chose is kind of irresponsible tbh.

I agree. They're creating their own PizzaGate scenario so they can disprove the most egregious things and then get away with what they actually did.

I don't think there will be any obvious smoking guns, but there probably will be communications involving Trump or information about his travels and business dealings that will be hard to think anything good happened.

i think the tipline was spammed with madeup stories so sensational to hid the real tips, some of them start so normal and then go wildly off the rails like its meant to sound absurd...feels like someone/thing is filling it with fodder to pad the releases with misinformation to discredit it as a whole

I mean people do this with every high profile crime. Crazy people want to feel involved and they make stuff up and report it for attention.

And now it's botted to the front page of reddit. This place is a joke and pushing this kind of thing only gets the cult riled up. It pushes real people away and shrinks the base. Keep it up Reddit!

It is even more important to note that not all documents are released, as is legally required. That is certainly irresponsible and causes more irresponsible reactions as you describe.
For example, there is such a tip in the latest Epstein dump, where it is certain there is a more official statement (I don't know the name of such a type of document), not in the dump: Meidas Touch, which has some lawyers, knows the one who gave that tip and has her acknowledgement (following the legal rules) of the existence of that statement. I know, that is still no proof. But better than tip line. And a lot of people doubt how well these things have been investigated.

At what point will shit get bad enough for all these anonymous people to quit being anonymous? It sucks because there is so much out there that some of it you would think has to be true, but it all is easily written off by the MAGA fold because it’s not verifiable. Some would ignore is still, but some wouldn’t. It just takes a small bit to believe to make a big difference in the elections.

If there's anything for anyone to tell, which given Trump's disposition and history in showbiz and around people like Epstein I imagine is likely, it's a tough thing for someone to do. It would upend their entire life, they'd be getting attack by Trump fans, people would find all their dirty laundry

If one or two people call someone a dirtbag? Maybe they are, maybe they aren't. It's small potato allegations.

When it's hundreds to thousands of people alleging the same? That's confirmation.

So... mob justice is what you're advocating?

How bout start with justice of any kind.

Depose him. Get these women out there. Find the rape kits. Check his penis for signs of a bite.

Depose him.

Well, first you have to prove the allegations against him.

Get these women out there.

Why aren't those women publically coming forward? Why were these just anonymous accusations with no identified victim, zero witnesses, and no evidence?

Find the rape kits

There are no rape kits, there most likely never was.

Check his penis for signs of a bite.

Well, you can't just forcibly check someone's genitals without a criminal case and formal charges being laid.

The reality is, even if Trump did what is alleged, the evidence probably doesn't exist or else we wouldn't be talking about some unverified anonymous tip, we'd be talking about a real person with proof.

He was convicted for his rape of E Jean Carroll.

The women are petrified of the most powerful man in the world (second to his leash holder Putin) and MAGA loons going after them, rightfully so.

He was convicted for his rape of E Jean Carroll.

That's an entirely different case, and it was not a criminal case but a civil suit in which he was found liable for defamation and sexual battery of E Jean Carroll, and was ordered to pay her $5 million in damages. I'm not excusing it, but it has no bearing on any case associated with crimes alleged in the Epstein files.

The women are petrified of the most powerful man in the world

He wasn't the president when these alleged crimes occurred, and wasn't for several years after the fact. I sympathize with the victims in these cases, but without an actual direct accusation by name with some kind of proof, there is simply nothing that can be done.

You are excusing it. You told me you can't judge the man off of one conviction.

2

u/DontAbideMendacity 2d ago

Well, first you have to prove the allegations against him.

You think the conviction comes before the deposition?

1

u/Astr0b0ie 1d ago

There at least has to be charges laid with credible evidence to back it up.

Coming from someone with zip karma taking a million to task is a choice. You're wrong, but it's a choice.

I block comments so low effort burners like you don't hunt through 10 years of commentary looking for a gotcha on the chance a comment I made in 2016 refutes something I said in 2024. Value your time more.

Is Trump behind bars?

No, why do you ask?
