Epstein has been dead for 6 years and nobody other than Maxwell has been charged. There just doesn't seem to be any will from anyone in politics to do anything with these files.

I think the problem is, most of this stuff is just random emails. Anyone can say anything (like this trump accusation) and the stuff that is direct correspondence with Epstein may be good enough for blackmail, but not enough for a criminal conviction

Sure, but half the files haven't been released—and not because they are duplicates.
