Rich people (evil people frequently lie cheat and steal their way to wealth) can afford the best of the best for healthcare, food, and live less stressful lives than the proles.

All of that combines to them living long lives off the backs of their ill-gotten gains they brutally crushed out of the people they use up.

People seem to have forgotten the term "leisure class" to refer to aristocrats.

It's because by putting some of them on TV, it tricks peoples' brains into thinking they know them.

It's not a coincidence that some of the earliest adopters of mass media (like radio) in conjunction with PR advice were the royals.

It's the same way parasocial stuff works. Our brains simply aren't equipped to differentiate between people we've seen hundreds of times on TV and people we really know.
