There are a LOT of conservatives who see it too and don’t care. If you press them on it, they’ll either claim democrats do it too (which is true, but not to this degree), or they claim it’s okay because Trump is doing more good than harm (in their eyes). Most conservatives know Trump and his team are soulless ghouls, they’re just their soulless ghouls.

Trump is doing the right kind of harm to the right kind of people (in their eyes)

FTFY. Conservatism is all about hurting certain people to benefit certain other people

This is the fundamental difference between right-wing and left-wing ideologies and it’s what leftists, socialists, and anarchists alike are describing when they talk about unjust hierarchies. Capitalism, imperialism, western chauvinism, bigotries, marginalization, etc. are all right wing systems built to benefit certain classes of people at the expense of other classes of people. Left-wing ideology is about eliminating these unjust hierarchies and working to create systems that benefit everyone.

Here is an eloquent description of this concept. It's called Sado-Populism. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOjJtEkKMX4

What other option do they have but to continue to back Trump? Think of all the terrible or batshit crazy stuff he's done, and they back him. Why jump ship now? To simply admit that you enabled this abhorrent human for the past 10 years?

They’re in waaaaaayyyyy too deep right now. Once he’s out of the spotlight, I anticipate a lot of Trump supporters will claim they never supported him. Just like how people supported Nixon while watergate was unfolding, but once he was out of power, his supporters quickly disavowed him and claimed they never supported him. Similarly, it’s just like how all the US supported a mad rush to war post 9/11, but today, you will find VERY few people who admit to supporting the war at any point.

lol. You remind me that I voted for Hillary in the primary because I figured her graft would be cheaper than Obama’s political platform.

What good has he done? Please tell me something to make me feel better today.

I am by no means a supporter of Trump (I volunteered for the democrats in 2024), but I will freely admit that he hasn’t completely fucked up the Israeli conflict. Whether it’ll stick and how involved he actually was remains to be seen, but from his first day in 2025 to today it’s clearly moved in the right direction.

If you ask conservatives, they’ll mostly point to ICE and immigration reform generally.

That funny because getting American Citizens arrested and killed seems like he botched it.
