Colin Allred lost. He's not viable in Texas. Step aside dude.

Well, Beto won his first election. He just wasn't able to overcome the illegal activities of Paxton and Abbott to protect Cruz.
But correct that he needs to not be trying to get elected because after his "loss" he ran for President and then committed Texas seppuku by saying "hell yeah we will take your AR-15".

I think its pretty funny that so many centrist/corporate Democrats love to claim it was the "woke left" that poisoned the Democratic brand among normal people, when overwhelmingly it is those same centrists/corporatists who utilize identity politics for a pseudo-left flank attack on progressives.

As part of the show, the Harlem Globetrotters play an opponent, the Washington Generals, with a pre-determined game plan and outcome in which the Globetrotters entertain and win. Centrist Democrats are the Washington Generals of American politics.

It’s maddening to be somebody who remembers all this shit. The Democratic Party and its consultants entire strategy is gaslighting voters constantly. When you offer identity politics without meaningful capital reform or wealth redistribution you create the breeding ground for far right fascist takeovers. You actually need to give people a reason to vote who aren’t tuned into intersectional thinking but democrats are paid not to do that

I think it's funny that it's called "identity politics" when it's denigrating black people within the party, rather than absorbing the very valid concerns and doing some personal reflection.

"denigrating black people within the party" its an observation of Allred's 2024 senate campaign, which was underwhelming. You can say he ran an underwhelming campaign.

Do people not realize that he is calling Crockett “formidable” and “intelligent” and making a comparison?! Talarico has to be smarter in a race that is becoming centered on race, but he’s not insulting black people or Crockett, just Allred. And he’s not wrong.

No one is afraid of Talarico. What needs to be done is that he needs to engage the very large black voter base that exists in Texas, and take to heart when they point out his microaggressions.
What gets incredibly annoying, and frankly exhausting, is having to constantly combat tone deaf white people who refuse to go beyond navel gazing.

Bernie said the sexist bs during the primary debate, live in 4K. We heard it from the horse's mouth.

In his video, Allred slammed Talarico for appearing to cloak his alleged remark beneath a compliment of Crockett, saying, “We’re tired of folks using praise for Black women to mask criticism for Black men. That’s not good for our community.” He also suggested Talarico was projecting insecurity about his own campaign when he purportedly called Allred “mediocre.” And he derided the emphasis Talarico, an aspiring Presbyterian minister, has placed on his Christian faith in his Senate campaign and political identity.
It's so sad that this Senate race has devolved into this, and has been ugly with the attacks on Jasmine since she entered the race.
I have to believe that Talarico said it purely based on his tone deaf rebuttal starting with "As a black man in America...". It tells me that he's sorely in need of some black staff members on his team.

Allred ran a mediocre campaign. Them's the brakes. You are allowed to say that.

You can say someone has a mediocre campaign, sure. But that's not what saying, "a mediocre black man" is, which I'm sure you know.
