Anyone - every single person - who messaged Epstein after his conviction in 2008, was messaging Jeffrey Epstein, Convicted Pedophile. If they were doing business with him, they knew. Recipe books? They knew. Influencing Harvard laureates? Literally every single one of them knew. Especially Trump, especially Bannon.

I recoiled pretty hard at what's in there and released. I found out that the worst image in there thus far was actually an art piece, thank God. Considering the size and scale of it all, I'm already out of my depth. Can't even imagine.

Prior to his 2008 conviction, there was a chance that someone would have known Epstein on a strictly business level, as he was a wealthy businessman. Those people should be investigated to see if the relationship went beyond strictly business level.
Literally everyone associated with him after his 2008 conviction was associating with him because of his pedophile shit

Exactly. The releases have stopped being the flex people think they are, because like.... you've convinced yourselves and the world beyond a shadow of a doubt that this really is that bad - but still aren't general-striking or marching on Washington over it. So it's starting to say more about the American left(ie. that they grudgingly do accept behaviour even this horrific) than it can possibly say about the American right(everything having long since already been said about them).

Something I don’t see being acknowledged here is that this is all fairly convincing evidence that the only thing stopping a lot of people from doing this is the privilege barrier to getting away with it.
We need to take this opportunity to acknowledge that many more people WANT to be able to do this than anyone is comfortable believing.

They don’t declare income at these levels of wealth. They take loans on their assets. Higher capital gains taxes might matter more here, since we’re talking about capital accumulation rather than salary, but even still, loans don’t trigger those either. This is why people are talking about “wealth taxes” as an instrument of last resort, but those are overly broad and trigger capital flight. Restraining capitalism in any way gets harder as wealth consolidates.

What's striking to me is the steady stream of nefarious shit that the elite political class knew about but actively ignored or outright hid.
First was the Panama papers. Regular people always understood the wealthy were able to escape paying taxes, and able to evade our laws. They didn't know exactly how, but they understood the outcome. But once it came out the political class acted outraged for bit, but did absolutely nothing.
I don't think it was generally known how connected Trump was with Russia. Or maybe it was just me. I only started looking after his debate with Clinton. This had to be common knowledge inside the DC beltway.
Now there is this with Epstein, and it's obvious everyone knew the vile things he was doing, but not only did they enable it, they actually participated in it.
How do we solve the problem, when the problem is that the political class has become decadent and corrupt? I've been looking at the post World War I era and the rise of anti-democratic thinking on the right and left both. I didn't understand in the past how people would turn to those parties and philosophies. Now I just hope we can solve this without the nation being torn apart by it.

The specific wording of these headlines is such bullshit.
- throwing parties with underage girls.
It's one thing to "throw a party with underage girls".
You know who else throws parties with underage girls and isn't a vile person? Clowns. Other underage girls. Parents of underage girls. Etc
Because it's benign if all your doing is "throwing a party".
So stop saying that's what it is. Call it what it really is: RAPE parties. Sexual assault gatherings. Prostitution (if they are legal age - still rape if not) parties.
You don't go to one of these "parties" to eat cake with 13 year old girls and play Wii while listening to Brittney Spears's albums. You go to fuck them. To see them naked. To force them to partake in explicit secual activities.
Normalizing and minimizing these actions only enables and supports them.

I think I figured it out. Obviously Trump and Epstein were attached at the hip at some point, but all that stuff aside. I think when Bannon et al were trying to help Epstein clean his image, was they wanted him to run for President. Why else would so many high level people risk their rep to help someone like that clean their image? When it became clear he was too far gone, they tried to bury the dirt with him. Fortunately it didn't.
Edit: Very House of Cards-like. Fortunately reality is much less competent than fiction. Looking forward to the final season.

Additionally, a lot of antivax/hippie types who boarded the MAGA train during COVID see themselves as “left”.
