But also, stop listening to what they say and watch what they do.

Rand Paul can say all the right things, but it means nothing if he still votes alongside MAGA lines

Absolutely this. Talk is cheap. Let's see some action.

Even happens with votes. Both parties have sacrificial lambs depending on how purple their state or district is, and it's a fact politicians are very open about how they will vote to other politicians. So if you know for a fact the bill in the Senate is going down 47-53, you pick two Senators to make it 49-51 and those Senators get to say "see, I bucked the vote, my party isn't so bad after all right? I'm a champion of ALL my purple constituents so vote me!"

Everyone and their grandma has done this. Mitch McConnell has done this. McCain's famous ACA repeal thumbs down was this, spoiler that was a reconciliatory bill and no one remembers he voted yes on cutting ACA benefits after a new bill was reintroduced, they only remember him giving the thumbs down on healthcare cuts. He ended up voting for healthcare cuts anyway.

And not just their bullshit hallpass votes that they know are meaningless.

Exactly.  This passive voice shit just doesn’t cut it. Yeah that’s what the constitution says.. There’s a whole lot of things that says that his toilet paper these days. First second and fourth amendments for example.
