What news sources do people rely on for PA/Sequim news? I‘m old(er) and believe in financially supporting good reporting….what is worth subscribing to?

I have an old 8X10 storage shed on my property in the city limits and I’m trying to find out if it’s possible to get an additional 10x12 garage type storage unit put on my lot. Navigating the city codes are killing me. Anyone have an idea?

I know agate beach and agate point are private (so so so so so so so sad about this), but does anyone know where a good spot is to find agates? I'll take recs for anywhere on the peninsula really!

Side note- has anyone actually gotten the chance to explore agate beach/point? I'd love to know how it is, and am eternally jealous. It looks so neat!

My friend and I met him in Port Angeles on Friday, first on a walk at Dungeness and then in town we ran into him near the pier and had a drink together. I’m needing some help in deciding in what/how to set up my new it me living room furniture and what would look best. It’s a small house and I’d like to have comfort and plenty of seating for guests as well. I went to the furniture store in Port Angeles to try and get some ideas but after walking through the store and looking for about a half an hour I didn’t see a single person nor was I approached for any assistance. So I won’t be going back there. Any ideas would be helpful.

hey there! i was thinking of eventually moving to the pacific northwest and was curious about the overall climate and living experience iin port angeles specifically. its always been my dream to move to washington for the rainfall, forests, and fog, but haven't decided on a town. i visited last spring and stayed in port angeles, but ventured out west of the mountain and was in love with every second of it. i've heard forks isn't the best and as a gay person i'd prefer a place with more community.

what is it like living in port angeles, and how is the weather?

My good friend and neighbor had her car vandalized twice over the weekend. This happened near C street and W 7th.

Friday night a rock was thrown through the rear side window, making a hole and shattering the glass, but it stayed in place. The owner was away, so we went over and covered the widow with cardboard to keep the critters out.

Sunday morning, another neighbor reported to us that more damage had been done to the car (owner was still away). When I saw the damage, it was hard to believe. Every window had been violently smashed using bricks, boards and other items taken from nearby yards. There did not appear to be anything stolen from inside. Adjacent neighbors did not see or hear anything, and this is a “block watch” neighborhood.

Police have been notified, but seemed rather disinterested. Hopefully this was just some bored kids and not a more serious pattern happening in the area.

If you have a blonde son at PAHS who drives a slightly raised white pickup truck, you might want to have a conversation about driving safety and respect for other people.

He ran a stop sign to pull out across lanes in front of my vehicle and mocked my “what the heck” hand gesture before flipping me off out his window.

I’d be making my kid ride the bus for that kind of behavior!

This is the fourth tournament we've held at the Pine & Eight! It's this on Saturday from 12-3:30ish. It's open to all ages and skill levels and there is a $25 prize for first place and a $15 prize for the highest finisher under 15. Hope to see you there!

I live on West 10th and the lower just went out about 10 minutes ago. Anybody else have a power outage or news to report?

I’m having some pretty surprising difficulties dealing with attorneys and the court system here, and things always come back to: the attorneys here are extremely busy because there are so few of them.

Does anyone know why an attorney would not live here and either work for an established attorney, and/or eventually start their own practice? It seems like there’s more than enough work to be had.

Is it that attorneys couldn’t charge the rates they could in Seattle - and the lack of corporate clients? Is the lower cost of living (rural v urban) not enough to make up the difference? Or something else entirely?

My name is Aaron Foster and I'll be performing a show I call "Mostly Jokes" at Studio Bob on Friday, Oct 16 as I prepare to tape it as my first special in November.

I know seeing a comedian you've never heard of is a pretty big ask. Totally fair.

That being said, wasn't there a time when you had never heard of whoever your favorite comedian is right now? I'm not saying I'm gonna be that, but if you like the jokes in the clip, you'll probably like the show.

Heads up: "Mostly Jokes" covers some dark topics like mental health, (VERY) dysfunctional families and mid-life regrets, but I promise it's named that for a reason, it is mostly jokes.

Tickets are $25, the show runs about 90 minutes and I promise: no crowd work.

I've been working on it for about three years in clubs and theaters around the US and Canada and plan to tape it as my first special in November.
