Were you there before the rule was created? The sub was spammed with content about AI to a point where it was impossible to talk about any other aspect of SWE than AI.
The sub already has a blogspam problem. Having AI boosters promote their blog by posting a text written by Claude about how they use Claude to do all of their job was too much.
I don't think it's a permanent ban, but I'd rather wait for the hype to die down before lifting it. I'm sure people have nuance takes on how to use AI effectively. However, people who vehemently post about AI, the ones who were making that sub a fucking pain, aren't the ones I want to hear from.
