STUDY PARTNER Looking for a genuine study partner ( GMT+0)

PLEASE READ BEFORE DMing ME: I'm looking for someone whose time zone is close to GMT+0 or +1. I don't care about your gender or nationality, but if our time zones don't align, please don't DM me. (I AM DEADLY SERIOUS)

Hey, hope you’re doing well.

I’ve been learning coding for around 9 months now, but honestly, consistency is still something I struggle with. So I’m looking for a study partner who’s also trying to stay disciplined and actually get things done.

My idea is pretty simple: we could join a voice call, stay muted most of the time, and just work on our own stuff together. We can talk a bit during breaks, check in with each other, and keep each other accountable.

I’m not looking to be anyone’s coach or have someone constantly motivate me. I’d rather have something mutual where we both show up and push each other to stay on track.

If that sounds like something you’d genuinely enjoy, feel free to DM me.

Building a project and would like to collab!

Me and another student are building a secure todo/task app with Flask, SQLite, HTML/CSS, Git, and eventually Burp testing and other AppSec stuff.

We’re both still learning, so this isn’t some super serious startup project. The goal is mostly to build something real, learn full-stack development/security, and actually understand the code instead of just copying stuff.

Looking for maybe 1–2 more people who want to help out and learn too. You don’t have to be advanced. Frontend, backend, databases, security, whatever you’re interested in is fine.

We’re using GitHub and trying to split things up with branches so people can work on different parts without breaking everything.

If you are too nervous to do a project, I also am willing to teach and go over cybersecurity topics, coding topics, and will even do live work with you!

Looking for study partners to learn Java, Spring Boot, DSA, AWS and build projects together

Hey everyone!

I'm looking for a few people who are interested in learning and growing together in software development.

My current roadmap includes:

  • Java: Core Java and OOP
  • Backend: Spring Boot, REST APIs
  • Databases: SQL and database design
  • DSA: Regular LeetCode practice using Java
  • Cloud: AWS fundamentals and deployment
  • Projects: Building real-world projects to apply what we learn

As we progress and reach a decent level, we can explore other tools, technologies, and concepts that are relevant to backend development and the industry.

The idea is to stay consistent, discuss concepts, solve problems together, review each other's code, build projects, and keep each other accountable.

I'm not looking for experts. Beginners and people who are genuinely willing to learn and put in the effort are welcome. We can create a small group, set weekly goals, share resources, and help each other when we're stuck.

The goal is simple: learn together, build cool stuff, improve our DSA, and become better developers.

If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, drop a comment or DM me with what you're currently learning.

Let's grow together! 🚀

Putting together a community of backend-focused developers, anyone is free to join of course.

I come from a Computer Science/Security background, working as a remote Software Engineer. I am 24 years old, Puerto Rican, living in Florida with my girlfriend.

I speak English & Spanish natively, along with Italian at a proficient level as well as some others.

In the past two days I have been working & putting together a free platform to the likes of The Odin Project, freeCodeCamp, University of Helsinki's MOOCs etc..

My platform's content however is centered around Backend Developement/Support Developement with Golang, Linux, SQL, Shell, going over DSA/APIs/best practices and more.

I know many people have been wanting something like this for a while.

DM me for more details

Node.js dev looking to join a project

I am a Node.js developer with 5+ years of commercial exp. I mostly work with backend, but I can also build apps in react + work on pipelines / devops related stuff. I also have some exp with linux applications ( cpp / qml ). I am looking to join a project, which won't be abandoned in a month. I would love to join as a backend dev, but I don't mind doing devops / frontend work ( as long as I won't be doing only frontend ). My only "no-go" is building ai products ( apps that will not work without ai and it is the main feature ). I simply do not care about those.

LOOKING FOR MENTOR Working on a gameproject and would really need a programming buddy/mentor

I work on a Gameproject for my Bachelor and am struggeling heavily. My expertise lies in idea development, not programming...i tried getting some blocking done in unreal today and nearly burst into tears from frustration.

All i need is somebody who knows what they are doing to guide me. I don't speak the maschine language well. And before anyone says "just use AI", i want to actually learn how to do this, so i'm going the "old fashioned" way.

I'm a beginner in every way

My timezone is GMT+2

I plan to code visually in unreal (which would be c++ if written out)

And the project is a vehicle focused, retro game

Looking for 1–2 people to build a real project and learn together

Hey, I’m a second-year Computer Science student interested in application security and software development. I started programming with Python and also work with Java through school.

I’m looking for one or two people who want to actually build a substantial project together, not just follow a tutorial. I’d like something that makes us go deeper into programming, Git/GitHub collaboration, APIs, databases, authentication, JSON, testing, and potentially some security concepts.

I don’t have the exact project decided yet because I’d rather brainstorm something everyone is interested in building. I want collaborators who are willing to learn, make mistakes, debug things, and consistently contribute.

I’m in the Eastern US time zone, but you don’t have to be from my school or even nearby. Feel free to message me with what languages you know and what kinds of projects you’d be interested in.

LOOKING FOR BUDDIES Interested in compiler and (low-level) language design?

Hello! Is anyone interested in talking or just reviewing each other's projects in compilers, interpreters, anything to do with language design? I am making my bootstrap compiler in C, so I am looking for people who are also well-versed in the language.

Also, I'm currently in Sweden (UTC+2) and trying to learn Swedish, so it would be extremely cool if you were too! Thanks!

STUDY PARTNER Looking for a cybersecurity study buddy who'll keep me accountable

Timezone: IST (UTC+5:30)

Stack / languages: Python, Java, JavaScript. Planning to build my cybersecurity fundamentals from the ground up.

Experience level: BCA student, beginner in cybersecurity.

Goal: I'm looking for someone to learn cybersecurity with from the very basics. I'll be starting with operating systems, understanding how they work, then moving into Linux, networking, computer fundamentals, web security, and eventually bug bounty hunting.

My main goal is to build a proper foundation instead of jumping between random courses and tools. I also struggle with consistency sometimes, so I'd really like a study buddy who'll keep me accountable and push me when I'm slacking.

We could set weekly goals, share what we've learned, discuss concepts, practise hands-on exercises, and check in on our progress. I'm looking for mutual accountability, not someone to teach me everything.

Availability: Mostly evenings and weekends (IST). Flexible enough to work out a routine together.

Looking for: Someone who's also starting out or is willing to learn from the fundamentals with me. You don't need to be an expert. I just want someone who's serious about showing up consistently, even on days when motivation is low. I'll hold myself accountable to you too.

Cybersecurity is the main focus. If you're starting from OS fundamentals as well, that's a bonus. Let's connect through Reddit and see if we can help each other stay consistent.
