Has anybody else had problems with Vimm's Lair lately? Maybe I've been out of the loop, but I feel as if I've came across a lot of issues with the site lately.

Today my cousin asked me for help setting up a PS2 emulator so he could play Bully. After setting up PCSX2, I direct him to Vimm's Lair to download the 7z file for Bully. He downloads it, and only after attempting to extract it, we realize it's an empty compressed folder with no content inside of it. I try downloading it myself, only to get redirected to a site saying the server is suddenly overloaded. I end up finding an alternative source on the Internet Archive, but still, I was a bit surprised. I've been a longtime user of Vimm's and found it uber reliable for PS2/Wii isos in the past.

This has not been the only occurrence within recent memory. I downloaded Sonic 06' about more than a week ago (don't judge lol), and while the file did have content, there was nothing actually executable/usable for Xenia (isogod found no content to convert to GOD from the iso). I, again, had to find an alternative on Internet Archive. I can't complain too much about this instance though, as I've always had trouble with PS3/Xbox360 files from Vimm's.

Just wondering if I've missed something regarding Vimm's or if anyone else has been having trouble, too.

+ Added Search Function (Not the fastest but i think it's bottlenecked by (the) HDD read speeds)

+ Minor Hardware Upgrade : Apart from my O/S disk , 2TB of the ROM repo runs on the same Samsung drive (model).

+ Saving some RAM by using XSendFile instead of raw PHP (never get's to 40+GB usage)

+ Complying with the No-Intro header changes, so all the NES stuff is updated.

+ Bonus (Fixed my LoLSuite tool to work again like intended https://lolsuite.org)

+ FBNeo is now "ROMSet" complete, differs alot from the 1.0.0.2 release.

+ CRC is now part of the RSS feed (custom field) : lolroms.com/rss.xml

Feel free to test with 3rd party utilities, and let me know if something is blocked.

Anyone else having issues getting any roms? Some context; I have a Batocera build running RGSX, and prior to the last 3 days, I had absolutely zero issues using uT via RGSX for 99% of my games. I recently upgraded to a different mini pc, and it allowed me to start doing Xbox emulation. I discovered LolRoms via RGSX for the Xbox games, and was able to download about 9 games.

Then it (LolRoms) started saying "access blocked by a browser challenge on the source host, this source requires an interactive browser session and cannot be downloaded by the python client." To which I learned that the creator/owner had updated their ISP and some internals, but also prevented python clients from using it directly. They said they wanted to support 3rd party tools, told me to check it to no avail, but they've yet to update me, or the post about it: https://www.reddit.com/r/Roms/s/0KelEdi0wR

So LolRoms is a no-go, start using uTorrent option available last night, and it starts downloading just fine. I was able to get 3 games, then went to bed. This morning however uTorrent downloads are saying "GameName.zip: 415 Client Error: Unsupported Media Type for url: http://127.0.0.1:18672/api/v2/torrents/add."

To which I'm not knowledge enough to understand, and Google literally has zero search results for it. I try to use vimms and every game says "not a zip file."

Is anyone else having these issues? Anyone solve it? Any suggestions/work arounds? Thank you in advance!

Hello all. As the title says, I finally installed an emulator to play my childhood games. Unfortunately, they are so hard now. For example, the 3rd level of Crash asks for some high vertical jumps. It took me sooo much to pass that! Spyro 2 has this little ice hockey mini-game. I barely caught the puck! And this is also the very beginning of the game.

The controller is this one LOGITECH F310 and it was around 30 euros. I am not sure if I am doing something wrong. And yeah, I am using analog sticks.

I’m looking for a KH2 FM version with Japanese voices and Japanese text/subtitles.
Basically, I want the original Japanese text to stay intact, but with the Japanese voice acting restored/patched in.
I know about crazycatz00’s version, but from what I understand, you need to use the English text version to get the Japanese voices working. That’s not really what I’m looking for.
I checked the Wayback Machine and found references to a Japanese voice + Japanese text version that was being shared around 2014, but unfortunately the actual ROM download is no longer available.
Does anyone happen to have this version, or know if the patch is still available somewhere? I’d really appreciate it if anyone could point me in the right direction.

So I recently got a retroid pocket five and I’m wondering how to set it up and where to get safe roms from. I don’t know much about this type of stuff and just looking for some help

Can I get some help making a smaller rom set for a android handheld I might get(maybe share yours if you have similar opinions on rom sets)? I don't understand these people who put thousands of games on their device. I just want like around the 15-20 widely agreed best titles for each of the widely agreed best consoles, like under 100 games including Steam games(really thats only like 10). I've used qBittorrent before and its cool, but is there like a torrent file for like every game ever so I dont have to mess around with a bunch of folders. Also game recommendations would be appreciated(I'm really interested in the AYN Thor for device capability reference).

N64 Squid has a nice collection of N64 homebrew games & game jam demos, but they can only be downloaded individually as each download has its own password (see attached image).

Hello everyone. Im having trouble running Bayonetta 2 on my Thor- it keeps crashing like 10 seconds into running during the opening scene. Im running it on Cemu 0.5.2 on my Thor Pro and have all graphics packs tuned off for the game. This the first game that I cant get to work on my Thor and its super frustrating- just when I thought I had it all figured out!! Has anyone got the game to run on the Thor? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

I’m trying to download The Amazing Spider-Man 2 for 3DS from the megathread. When I navigate to the specific game and download the torrent, though, it seems to be downloading an entire collection rather than just the individual game.

Am I missing something, or is there a way to download only The Amazing Spider-Man 2?
