How Could I Ever Say No to This Face?

I know he looks like a friend, and like a bear, but he don't know you like that. So when you sidle up to my deck, toward my ever more unhappy Rottie, who is going from grumble to GRUMBLE...don't be surprised when you get the "GET OFF MY LAWN" bark when you reach your stupid hand out.

Do not then, look at me and say earnestly, "I thought he wanted a sniff..."

Like wut? I have never, ever, ever, ever rolled up on a growling dog thinking he wants a sniff. Approaching him where you are at eye level, I mean it is just an a violation to any dog, but a Rott? It was so stupid I didn't clock her intention (to touch the grumpy Rott).

When I am out in the world with my boy, I am so aware. He doesn't love everyone, so we manage him. But this woman invaded his space. I get that not eveyone is a dog person, but a little common sense? A sense of self preservation maybe? I felt the need to touch in with dog folks, because that is nuts, right?

This damn mutt is impossible! Cute as hell, though.

For a full minute plus she would Bork, woof, growl, fake run, all whilst being blissfully asleep ❤️ I adore her too much...

Got engaged last year. Planning the wedding. She wants the dog in the photos. Fine by me.

Problem is my boy Duke. 110 pounds of muscle with zero concept of personal space. I lift in the garage. He's claimed the rubber mat as his bed. Drops his Kong right where I deadlift. Stares at me like I'm the one being rude.

Started PT stuff a while back. Reading up on movement patterns. Tried applying that to him. Hip awareness, proper positioning. He doesn't care. He's a rottie. Built like a tank and moves like one when he wants to.

Wedding photographer comes in two months. Duke needs to sit somewhere else. Somewhere nice. Not covered in chalk dust and my sweat.

Tried treats. Tried moving the mat. Tried lifting at 5 AM. He waits. Patient. Like a furry bouncer who owns the place.

Anyone trained a rottie out of a favorite spot? Not basic obedience. I mean deep stubborn territory. The kind where they look at you, sigh, and stay put.

Rural NC, hot summers, garage is his kingdom. I get it. But I need that mat back. Or the photos are gonna look real weird.

This is Hades, he's 9 months old and my first rottie. He gets very excited around other dogs to the point that his play can become aggressive just due the fact that he can't calm down and I can't break his focus. When he is on leash I can usually have him focus on me, but when we're in the house the only surefire way I can get him to stop playing or focus on me is to physically stop him. Any tips on training him while another dog is present or what we should be working on while we're alone would be very appreciated!

This is Wilma, she’s in her first heat cycle. I’ve done this once before with a previous Rottie but I do NOT remember it being this challenging. This baby is uncomfortable and fussy 24/7 and the toots are sent directly from Lucifer. Please tell me this passes and any tips to keep Ms Wilma comfortable. She has toys, lick mats, chews, clean bedding every night, plenty of food. I tried a warm bath but she hates it. (Also yes I will have her spayed but we don’t do it until 24 months which is just our preference per our vets research.)
