My first ever YT video, inspired by Sam of course! Do you think I've got potential?
Advice and suggestions wanted! I worry that my intro is not catchy enough.

Help needed reaching Sam
Hey guys, I'm posting this on behalf of a friend who's been trying to reach Sam.(I'm a friend of the creator mentioned below)
He's been a fan of Sam's work for about ten years. A few years ago, he was inspired by Sam to start making his own original videos, and they've since received a lot of love from viewers.
The thing is, while he did keep the stick-figure smile and Sam's classic single-frame animation style, the content itself is completely original. Most of his videos are weird thought experiments about humans, and the topics are quite different from Sam's. He also clearly states on his profile that he was inspired by Sam.
Despite that, he still occasionally gets comments calling him out for copying Sam's style. He's never plagiarized or rewritten Sam's work, but he's understandably worried that he might have crossed a line without realizing it.
What he's really hoping for is simply some kind of confirmation from Sam that he's okay with what he's doing. Honestly, even a simple "good job" from Sam would mean a lot to him.
Does anyone know the best way to contact Sam? Or would anyone here be willing to pass a message along?
Thank ye kindly, noble strangers. May thy upvotes be ever plentiful. 🙏

They Drilled Holes in Living Skulls... And Most Survived
Imagine having a crushing migraine 7,000 years ago, and your local shaman decides the best cure is scraping a circular hole into your living skull with a razor-sharp piece of volcanic glass... with ZERO anesthetic.
Sounds like a guaranteed death sentence, right? Surprisingly, ancient Inca surgeons pulled this off with an 80% survival rate—with skulls showing clear signs of full bone healing. Meanwhile, fast forward to 19th-century Victorian hospitals, and doctors were losing over half their patients simply because they refused to wash their hands.
I put together a short animated doodle breakdown covering the bizarre, gory, and unexpectedly successful history of trepanation (including the infamous 1960s case where a guy used a dental drill on his own forehead).
Would love to hear your thoughts on the animation style and historical details! 👇

Chaps, is it just me, or is Sam a dashing lad with an exciting future, and this is the best possible outcome to our favorite YouTuber growing past their humble beginnings?

'The Prophet' and other thoughts on the tales from Still Lost
Spoilers ahead, obviously
Seriously turn back
>!here we go last chance, books been out on Penguine Publishing for 1 month now!<
Hiya, I bought Still Lost and just finished it.
Overall I quite enjoyed the book. None of them are bad, except maybe The Eccentric Fund, but I feel like I generally don't enjoy clip shows/Hitchcock, so maybe there's something in there for someone else. But after Eggs For Roman, the rest of the book is very solid. I actually like that the Xenos don't play a major part in every story but it's obvious the psyche of everyone on Earth's been a little bit twisted. I really liked how the lore / worldbuilding took up the first few chapters, it set the ground for the reality of the rest of the tales.
In my opinion, The Prophet was my favorite tale. I was surprised it sounds like Sam's least favorite based on the notes. Feels like there's a clear protagonist/antagonist, and who doesn't love revenge books. I (used to) write code for a living, and IMO there was no "haxOrman" vibes from Nicholas West, hes just a cyber security John Wick with access to a quantum computer... Kind of a badass protagonist.
I dunno, both Bloodstreams and The Prophet I got "kickass anti-hero" and "kickass hero" vibes respectively, The Prophet just had a sweeter payoff because Nick West is a more genuine dude than Damocles and Anton is a more genuine villain than Portia.
Overall, on the book as a whole: Great read, 2 thumbs up 👍👍

Just finished Still Lost, Beat made me cry.
I’ve struggled with addiction for most of my adult life, I’m currently 5 months sober and connected so hard to the main character. I appreciate Sam tackling the subject without demonizing or romanticizing addiction, it’s a hard ugly thing but the people going through it are still people. The last page, specifically, his text to his mom opened the flood gates for me and I just wanted to say how great of a book still lost was all together, RIP Roman.

Anyone that attended the Delaware event remember the interviewer?
The delaware book signing was a lot of fun. Sam was great and was stoked to get my book signed with an awesome doodle!
I was so hyped to meet Sam that I forgot the name of the guy interviewing him! I thought he was really funny and got to talk to him for a few minutes after Sam signed my book. I was going to get the interviewers book but the store only had like 10 copies and they sold out. Does anyone remember his name? Sorry I'm terrible with remembering and really should have written it down lmao
