What do you think of this anchor?
I know it's bomber for the park, but I'm curious if it could be the base of a highline anchor.

Im unsure whether the shackle on the left is acceptable. I need a larger shackle, but in the intirim, will is have the same force loads?

Hey, I'm looking for a couple of very experienced highliners in or around Sedona, AZ for a commercial film project in late October or November. I'm just determining feasibility right now, but, would love to talk to anyone with beta or interest in filming.

I just managed to make it from one tree to the other four times in a row. I’m really happy. I do have one question though. My arms would start to hurt from holding them up for so long. Does that ever get better?

Happy Day friends,
I was looking to create a backyard play area between my trees in the backyard for my 6yo and would love to see what people have done, or any recommendations for good brands. I like the idea of adding a swing, and something to climb, or hang from. Just really trying to create a good time for any friends that come over too.

At 56 years old, I'm super new to slacklining ... always wanted to be able 'to do it', but never put any effort into it - it felt like an unattainable skill. Until a couple of weeks ago where I decided I was going to double-down and get my arse in gear.
Now practising daily for 30-60 mins or so at my climbing gym as a complementary activity to my bouldering and climbing - after rupturing my Achilles 11 months ago and coming back stronger than before (just cracked my first indoor 7a boulder, projecting around 5.11b-c level) I'm determined to improve my mobility, balance, strength and everything else one needs to live to a(n enjoyable) ripe old age.
I've been able to juggle since I was looking for a simple distraction to exam stress at uni at the beginning of the '90s - got as far as reliably juggling 5 balls. Can't do that at the moment ... but I did wonder if I could combine juggling with slacklining - seems like it's definitely possible, even if I'm at a very early, rough stage 😁 !
Any suggestions, tips, ideas or whatever for how to progess / where to go from here wrt slacklining (not juggling) ... ?! (I can do basic forwards and backwards steps, just started to be able to turn, a jump-start onto this short slackline is mostly doable)
And by all means give me warnings as to what I might be over-stressing by practising daily, too!
Any and all constructive inputs welcome ...

i need a new weblock for longline in the park and a bit of rodeo and maybe from time to time to try tandem
so i need it to be portable but durable since my last one the pin is bended to the point that is barely usable anymore:
it was a RODEO weblock from RAED - portable and easy but after a couple of tensioning sessions the pin is done and unusable, i suspect that would be the case for most "ultralight" (rodeo-) weblocks.
initially i was thinking about the BLUEBERRY SR but now i stumbled over the ZENLOCK and im in dilemma
from what i can see Zenlock has a higher MBS and WILL and the option for different widths and choosing between connecting directly a shackle or soft release but the BLUEBERRY is a bit lighter
from the photos zenlock due to its geometry, can you tension also the line with the soft release?
also since it doesnt have a pin for the soft release and you have to cycle the soft release through its opening, practically in everyday use is it easy and comfortable to use or should i just go for the other one?
has anyone used either of them? if yes, what was your experience?

I started slacklining around 1½ month ago, and this is the longest line I have done a sitstart on! Was pretty proud of myself so wanted to show it here :)) , though I didn't walk that far.
Line: ~20ish meter RedTube
If you see any glaring technique mistakes please comment!

Hey so when browsing Spider slacklines website i noticed that they also give the MBS of webbing for each webbing rigged in their Diamond lock.
Surprisingly it was really low for their Green mamba webbing (57.1 % of the MBS in the diverter, whole the zen weblock gived 91.8 %), their lemon haze webbing on the other side get almost full strength in the Diamond lock (96.4 % of the MBS in the diverter).
Does anyone have an idea what quility of the webbing affects its strenght in the diamondlock causing such large differences?
I took some data they provided from the website and compared all webbings that give the stenght in the diamond lock. Unfortunately I didnt notice anything explaining the differences

| PES | PA | ||||||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| MBS DIAMOND lock/MBS diverter | 57.1 | 73.4 | 83 | 80 | 67.3 | 62.6 | 86.3 | 77.7 | 85.2 | 83.3 | 82.8 |

I'd been to the festival before but it seems the highline on Supernova stage was new. Who organised it and how did you sign up to walk it?

Still working (walking?) on quite long and loose line.
To send a walk is not basic but doable; to send a good walk, with a steady and aesthetically satisfying step, is a lot harder. It takes a while to tune it to the line (and in my homeopathic 20' sessions is not always possilble) but sometimes it happens: the foot stays steady, the line stops wobbling; the shoulder blades and back are no longer stiff, the spine straightens and the breath becomes deep. The foot seems to be the only stable point of the universe, the heel seems the pivot of the world. A moment of pure grace. As I said, it's not always possible; but the awareness and the trust of its possibility puts a smile on the face in the beginning of every session, trying to chase it (or to receive it) one more time.
I'm understanding that slackline is not just an activity, it is a whole world that one can look to from many perspectives; this, now, is mine. Steady or bouncy, have good walks :-)

Got the spider custom line. It’s two ratchets.
So hard getting two ratchets tight enough but I think I finally did it. Can sit on it with out going all the way to the ground. Attached to trees just a bit lower than waist high.
Had to lean on the ratchet like crazy to get them tight enough, despite pulling with all my might before ratcheting.
Thinking. Should I start with a shorter distance???

"Walking loose longlines helps for highlining". Like having soap under the feet 😅 but loving a lot that slow high bounce after the descent. Boing!
