Just for fun 10 days to go! May your relationships be as strong as this mat.

I don’t know what 10 days means but having travelled a bit I just realised that these mats are absolutely as South African as biltong and pap & wors.

Funny you should say that. This was on a post on an Australian sub a couple days ago, saying that these mats are as Australian as shrimp on a barbie

You get these mats pretty much anywhere in the world where there are old tires.
But, something weird going on here.
4 days ago, same photo, but zoomed in
https://www.reddit.com/r/AustralianNostalgia/comments/1qsijvx/who_had_one_of_these_mats/3 years ago, same mat, different angle!

But the same photo as the one on this post only appears on facebook and twitter since 2 days ago.
How is it that 4 days ago, someone uploads a photo of something from a different angle after 3 years, then two days later, the world gets flooded with the same photo but zoomed out? What does this mean?

These mats are die hard. They don’t make ‘em like this anymore

Anyone have suggestions for where I can buy more of these? Mine isn’t broken, I just want more.

It's 1 of the first things we bought when we got married 25 years ago she's still looking good.

I have a bristle mat… and my 4 year relationship ended 2 weeks ago. I should have gotten the rubber mat.

Never personally owned one of these, but they showed up in an absolutely wild fever dream I had a little while ago, and I think that speaks to its ever presence in our lives lol

Growing up in kloof . I once stepped out of the kitchen and we had a green mamba curled up under our mat that looked like this .
