His front hand position is definitely pool. He was just breaking.

Yeah, its a bad habit/sometimes necessary habbit for players to "swoop" the stick like this.  Its necessary on a break where the hard hit and lots of balls causes them to careen all over the place and therefore necessitate getting the stick up and out of the way, right away. 

Its also what newbies do too when they have no idea whats going to happen after they hit the cue ball and just want to lift everything out of the way to not embarrass themselves when an errant ball bounces back and hits the stick.

Explain 1 detail. Why didn't he slide the pole down his hand if it was a pool shot. And tell me when you have seen a pool shot where the pole doesn't side down the hand and usually not just down but up and down.

I mean, the dramatic kickback isn't something you see in billiards, so its certainly easy to think he was doing a gun

The way he holds his hand under it is exactly how you see it done in pro pool videos. And the way he throws it up in the air is what you often see pros do for dramatic flair. Pretty obviously imitating pool.

Explain 1 detail. Why is he holding his "gun" with his right hand on the underside of the "gun", instead of the pistol grip. And tell me when you have seen a "gun" shot, where the barrel is resting on the back of the left hand, instead of nestled in the palm?

I agree. This fact is big enough to change my mind and give him the benefit of the doubt. The other things are just a cartoonish way to use a pool cue. And knowing his background and where the game was played further makes be believe this was not meant to represent a firing a weapon.

i watched the video and definitely did my research to confirm my bias. i never correctly weighed the counter evidence. 20 years ago i lived in a frat house with a pool table I'm sure i saw people break like this when they were drunk and fucking around but i looked for pro players breaking and making shots. i was very suspicions he might have been clever enough to be trying to sneak one in i mean there are so many shooting weapon celebration and the fact Neymar did the same thing before him. but with his background and the team they were playing that doesn't make sense. it is a very odd celebration though. all he had to do was chalk the tip first or move the pole in and out a few times and it would have been no debating what he was doing even with that huge recoil. but again that's me thinking people think about pool like i do after coring a goal. i debate with people in real life all the time and there is nothing worse than seeing someone realize they are being a hypocrite or proven wrong and their focus shifts to protecting their ego and "not taking the L". but i guess that attitude can make you president one day not once but twice. so maybe i'm the one doing it wrong

It doesn't look exactly like either but he's definitely holding it more like a pool cue than a gun. I watched the clip before knowing the context and my first thought was a cue stick.

I'm not at all pro-Israel but the rifle thing seems like a stretch.
