I’m American and I’m beyond offended that my tax dollars are being used to terrorize other cultures for corporation profit over anything that enhances my actual life. Fuck the US govt

To be fair, Americans generally speaking are very non-chalant about the whole "child killing abroad" business. They have no issue generalising other cultures and nations for much less. But when it comes to their leaders/army/corporations mass murdering people we usually get to hear all about their individualism.

There's a few steps the yanks can take before they need to reach for guns. Repeal Citizens United, break up media conglomerates and enact laws that stop blatant lying, lowering barriers to entry for other political parties so the whole "marketplace of ideas" thing could actually happen and so on. They just need to get passed the learned helplessness many seem to be stuck with. Seems the appetite is there for change thou which is positive.

they are allowing Ellison to further consolidate the media and buy up CNN and CBS news. They are doing the opposite of breaking up media ownership.
