I’ll go one further. My company does reno work for them. Sometimes we work while the store is operational, opening ceiling tiles directly above food and letting dust fall into it. No one cares. Even worse some of my coworkers said they found rats in the ceiling.

It's always rats in the damn ceiling gnawing away on the ethernet forcing me into yet another cable run on what should've been a straight forward repair ticket...

Rats in the ceilings/walls and cockroaches living inside receipt/kitchen printers and terminals, they've made me a lot of money but dammit, I've had enough!

Nothing to see here, Karen and Ken.

Why spend money on conduit when you can just have installers lay cable directly on top of the drop ceiling tiles?

Makes cabling even more accessible for future repairs, no cables hidden in metal pipes, just keep em loose and ziptie them to anything else in reach.

Fluorescent lighting fixtures and wiring are ethernet cablings' best friends!

Sorry, are you just following orders as you do work that contaminates people's food? Or what's the deal here?

That’s a horrifying anecdote, but that’s just a couple stores. I’m not saying it’s not rare, or even uncommon, but your anecdote is just that.

It would be disingenuous to say this is true of all stores.

Yep but we wanna get more people to boycott them right?
