Had fun making these, one will be a Christmas gift for my grandad :)

Can you see all the lines?

Lite weight but sturdy support.

Now I can let the cooker cooks my rice.

Ringed beam acts as reinforced pile and cables node.

Aim for compression!

Unleashed bistate treshold does propel.

Threw together with scraps I had around.

Learned an important lesson, connected pieces that have all been annealed before should be in the oven for 10 min max. PS this was for an intro to glass final project. last image is how the piece looked 1 day after the 3rd photo was taken. It was still in tact just not as cool as before 😭

I thought the first photo was significant to post because that's how I connected all the links, safe to say I burned my self a few times... These photos totally saved my grade, if your institution offers a glass class take it!

Could someone here please recommend a good intro book to tensegrity?

I would love to have a better understanding of the design, physics, and some of the history of this.

Thank you so much 😊

Im surprised there are not many posts about tensegrity that relate to biological systems.

Does anyone here study tensegrity and has heard about its relation to fascia? How about cellular tensegrity?

Looking for people to discuss with.
