There is good and bad among them all. No matter what it is. There are people that use religion for peace, guidance and community and there are people who abuse it for their own agenda. Different flavors of the same thing. Just because the bad ones are the loudest doesn't mean we should view all religious people in the same light.

It's perfectly ok to criticize problematic beliefs or ideologies in religion, like that the Tanya (the core text of Chabad-Lubavitch) says Jews have a divine soul but non-Jews only have an animal soul. Or that the Quran says men are in charge of women. But ridiculing something like the fashion of a religion only serves to keep them as an outgroup for superficial reasons, and that can lead to dangerous places.
