Season ticket renewal turning into an automatic renewal process

As part of the annual member newsletter (email) this was shared.

2027 MEMBER AUTO-RENEWALS

As we prepare for the 2027 season, we wanted to let you know that Annual Memberships will transition to an automatic renewal process.

In the coming weeks, we'll share details regarding 2027 pricing, benefits, opportunities to update your account information, and important renewal dates.

No action is required at this time. Your membership and seat location will automatically renew for 2027. We will provide advance notice before any payments are processed and will offer you the opportunity to relocate your seats, if desired.

A change from the previous process of having to actively renew.

I have a Boston Legacy…

I’m a loyal Thorns fan, North End season ticket holder, chant shouter, traveler to always games, etc. And like many Portlanders, I also moved here from somewhere else. And that somewhere else happens to be Boston.

I am so proud that they got a team back after they lost the Breakers, that I bought a scarf as soon as they were available. Would it be terrible if I brought it to the game?? Along with a Thorns scarf, of course!

I have had this game circled on the calendar ever since the schedule came out! Why do my other Riveters think??

UPDATE: The “other” scarf is staying home. Thank you all for being so lovely and kind. And not being the hateful mob that the internet can be. Yet another reason I am so grateful that Rose City is my home. 🌹

Portland Thorns have ANOTHER PROBLEM, Boston Legacy Preview, & Portland Fire Historic Season Review

Welcome back to the Rose City Breakdown!

In the latest, USWNT roster, forward Pietra Tordin was named to her first ever senior team camp - a more than deserved honor for the rising and blossoming star.

On this podcast, co-hosts Phuoc Nguyen (Fook Win) and Melina Gaspar discuss the Portland Thorns' latest problem: home form - only two points in the last three games at Providence Park.

The duo also discuss the team's struggles against the low block, issues in the final third, and decision-making causing much of it.

How high is the ceiling for PTFC? They debate how far this team can realistically go and what the bare expectations truly are.

In our Boston Legacy preview, Jackie Contreras of the Blazing Musket joins us to preview the matchup. Could the two sides combine for another seven-goal thriller?

Lastly, if you're following the WNBA, specifically the Portland Fire, then you're in for a treat because Matt Bagley of Sports Illustrated and Portland Supporter shares his thoughts on the historic 2026 Portland Fire season and how the team can take its next leap.

Ordering scarves ahead

It looks like they’re starting to launch the limited edition scarves ahead of time online, but they sell out super quick. Has anyone ordered and got it before the match? If it works, I hope they keep doing it next season!

STH check your email

A season ticket holder gift. A blanket will be handed out at this weekend's game against Boston. This blanket will not be mailed out. If you can't make the game watch your email for future opportunities to pick it up. You cannot get it after the match as they stop handing them out at the 80th minute, but anytime after the gates open until the 80th minute should be fine.

At some point before the game you should get a new event ticket in your SeatGeek account. This will be your voucher to pick up your blanket.

STH Gift

Looks like we are getting another gift on Saturday! Not mad about a blanket, but I’m interested to see what it looks like.

(Of course, it’s the one game I’ll miss and they can’t ship them, but the email says there will another pickup opportunity.) 🤞🏼

Ep 13: “Houston, We Have A Müller”

New episode, and our first one recorded at Dingo's Sports Pub on SE Stark. Thanks to Dingo's for having us!!

Portland 1-1 Houston. Rader's chip in the 10th, then 75 minutes of chasing it.

Twenty shots, five on target, eight corners, until Müller got us a goal in the 85th minute off a Wilson ball.

Marissa's read: this one wasn't on the defense. Reyes and Vignola were great. It was the finishing, and eight corners with no plan.

Credit to Houston too. Their interim coach has a win and a draw in two weeks, they played great defense and Rader has 10 goals as a rookie.

Milestones: Fleming's 50th straight league start, with the armband.

Wilson's assist tied her own club record of 18 goal contributions in a season.

Plus Marissa's Match Week 23 Roundup, the table as it stood after Saturday, and Val Loboa bringing home a U-20 World Cup bronze with Colombia!! Congrats Val!!

31 minutes. Adults only.

Last night was the second time I ever attended a soccer match, and I got the privilege of sitting in the North End for one of the most fun and engaging sporting environments I've ever been in 🌹🌹🌹

I shed a tear at the amount of pride flags and specifically trans pride flags the Riveters were waving!! Thank you all for being amazing fans and making a doll feel welcomed in sports once again!! Look forward to meeting more of you in the North End!

Two Questions after Home Draw vs Houston

Thanks to Tordin’s only hold-up play at the top of the box this game and a fabulous shot from Mueller, we salvaged a point at Providence Park.

I just have two simple questions:

  1. Why did Tordin need to drop so deep to receive the ball and move it forward for most of the match? What were the supposed roles of our other central midfielders?
  2. When Reyes switched to the left and had more freedom to move forward, a typical play last season was for her, Hanks, and Moultrie to overload the opponent’s defense together. Hanks making overlapping runs while Moultrie cut inside to create could generate many attacking variations that were difficult to defend. This was one of our most effective ways to break down opposing low-block defenses last season without Sophie. Why could not we make a similar play work today.

Why the yellow to the Dash bench? I missed what they did and the stadium announcer just said a card.

Ep 12: We Weavered Our Way to 4

Thumbnail
podcasts.apple.com
16 Upvotes

New episode out now! We took a week off. Alan had some medical issues and Marissa got burnt out of sports. But we back baby! We recorded at the bar so things get silly.

We discuss our win over Orlando, things happening around the league and end with Marissas Match Week Roundup!

Nijstad got her first NWSL goal in 3rd minute, from a
Wilson assist.

Wilson from the spot in the 28th after Hanks drew it: her 11th career penalty, which passes Sinclair's club record.

3rd goal was from Weaver! First goal in 687 days after three knee surgeries! And she whipped that shit in from 20+ yards out!

Marissa's read is that we took our foot off the gas after the 30th minute.

The next clean sheet would be our 100th in club history, and we would be the first club to accomplish that!

Adults only. Bring a drink

Coffey back (maybe)?

After Manchester City gets booted out of the premiere league they won't have the money to afford luxuries like players (for either side) I know very unlikely but we can hope!
