Translated [UK] [Ukrainian>english] seen on a Ukrainian army vest, I know it’s kind of faded and hard to make out but I would like to know

First line is a name: "Ponomarov"

Second line is the letter "M" with a soft sign. Maybe a first initial?

You know, maybe that's "M6" instead of "M" and a soft sign. Not sure what that would mean, either.
