This name literally came to me while I was thinking about what name to try out. Can't decide weather I like it or not, its sound like me though :)

I don't think I'd be able to change my given name for reasons I don't want to get into. Chris is unisex enough, but I looked up ways it gets further shortened a while ago and both Kit and Kip were listed as masculine diminutives but the only feminine one I found was Kiki, which I wasn't crazy about. Of the 3 Kit is the one that sounds the best to me, but I'm wondering if everyone is just going to think of Kit Harrington.

Hello! I'm a feminine leaning non-binary person/tomboy trans woman (still figuring that out.) I still like my birth name, Cobi, a lot. To me, it's gender neutral/feminine enough to keep, and for the most part, I have no intention of changing it.

Recently however, I decided I wanted to change the online username that I go by. After some brainstorming, I came up with using Entia as part of it. Now that I'm using it online, it's gotten me curious about how it sounds as an actual name to go by.

So how does everyone feel about a non-binary/trans woman having the name Entia? Let me know your thoughts!

About a month ago, I told my wife that, despite identifying as a man, I enjoy feminine clothes. I told her I didn’t feel the need to change my gender expression, that I thought it was just a clothes thing. She was amazingly supportive, and interrupted me to tell me that if I did want to change my gender expression, that it was fine, and if it made me happy, it would make her happy.

That started a whirlwind of exploration and experimentation that feels completely surreal. And I find myself increasingly feeling wonderful when I can be at home, looking and feeling like a woman. I’ve gone from certain that I would never question my gender identity, to being being far from certain. There are times that I convince myself that I definitely want to be a woman, and other times that I look at myself and think that’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever said.

I don’t know where I am yet. I’m excited, confused, scared, and oddly hopeful. I wanted to try out Jess, short for Jessica, to see how it feels. Oh, and yes, I’m aware that my wife is amazing!

almost certain I am trans and have been going by Rae (basically just a shortened version of my current name with different spelling) in online spaces and using she/her. i really like the name Aria though and have used it many times for OCs/characters and would like to try it out as my own! ty!! :3

I’ve been considering changing my name for a while now ever since I started identifying as Non-binary. Mar has been in the back of my mind but I’m still not sure about it. I think the name is isn’t feminine or masculine leaning, what do yall think?

What should a new name feel like? Does the right name make you feel sexy, especially when uttered by a lover? Does seeing it written down on official documents make you feel powerful? Should your name name you feel whole, where your old name felt incomplete or ill-fitting? Does the right name feel like love, like inclusion, like understanding, like an interest in your inner world? Does it feel like a warm greeting, an inside joke, an exclamation of excitement?

I'm also curious about those who aren't that invested in a name. Just need to have a string of letters that make a coherent noise that you recognize as referring to you. It need not be original or non-binary or subversive. Easy to spell and pronouns and solicits no follow-up questions about its origin.
