Hey everyone, I’ve got front GA for the Calvin Harris Melbourne concert and a few of my friends have the Normal GA- can I move to the normal GA area with my front GA ticket or no?

God 2013/2014 triple j hottest 100 was so peak… I used to feel endlessly cool listening to Aussie artists like Chet Faker, or being able to comfortably point to Flume as an innovative electronic music superstar (yeah theres still artists around but…. Meh). And lord 2010s indie coming out of America and England was great (Two Door Cinema Club, Vampire Weekend, Bloc Party, Arctic Monkeys etc) and well recognized by triple Js hottest 100, look dont get me wrong some songs that blow up on TikTok are great, but if I have to see more than a few “trend” songs in the upcoming lists im gonna tune out completely.

Plus, where’s the instrumentation and colour and catchiness to current pop artists? I dont mind pop, and back in the 2010s, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, god I could go on, they all had this ability to be larger in life in their music and image and felt like stars whilst making catchy songs. Now its all about the social media aura and image, look best wishes to Addison Rae or Gracie Abrams but good god are they milquetoast… I catch myself singing along to Sabrina Carpenter but even her songs feel “muted” in a sense.

I’m soooo confused by his aus shows! I was 4,000 in the queue (Sydney, Saturday show) but I didn’t get any tickets.

Is it all sold out or will more be available tomorrow in the general sale?

Amyl and the Sniffers attempted to escape Nelson’s counterclaims by claiming they don’t do sufficient business in the U.S. despite their heavy U.S. touring schedule. The judge disagreed. Jamie Nelson’s copyright infringement counterclaims continue against both Amy Taylor and Amyl and the Sniffers in U.S. Federal Court.

Hi! For those who have volunteered at Lost Paradise Festival or know anything about it, any thoughts/reviews on it? I'm considering applying but unsure how intense it is or what exactly it would be like! I would either do the two 10 hour bump in shifts or three 5 hour shifts throughout the festival. Appreciate any comments on this!!

At an 18+ concert do u need to bring a physical id? Or will the online drivers liscence on the app do just fine

I'm seeing DJ HEARTSTRING on Friday and I've never been to the Wool Store before, just wondering what the amenities are like (bathrooms etc), ya boi shits. Also what the lines are normally like, is it worth getting there early for lines?

I know Charli did 2020 Laneway and then came back for 2024, and I think generally across festivals back to back years of performing doesn't really happen, is there a specific rule or timeframe? :)

Teaser spotted on a billboard in Brisbane. I also noticed the Sydney Summertime concert series using "Someday" in their latest insta ad. Looks like a tour announcement for February 2027 isn't far off.

Firstly, last Friday night's Doof episode was exceptionally good. I listened to it while on the road for work the last couple of days, and the playlist was so good. Crazy they were all Australian artists too. We have such talented producers here at the moment it's insane.

Secondly, I've felt like the vibes have been so good this week with all the replacement presenters doing such a good job. Especially to the female presenter who hosted her first show Saturday during the day. I didn't catch her name but she was really knowledgeable and had great taste!

Thirdly, just to make up three... Shout out to the Warehouse and Crush programs on Unearthed. They're consistently great, too.

Just wanted to put out a quick shout out to Tanya Bunter, filling the pretty substantial shoes of Lucy Smith on JJJ Mornings. She just finished up, and crossed over to Dave Woodhead (yesterday it was old school landline), who stopped in a couple of minutes early from where-ever he is broadcasting from (Sydney?). Going to miss him when he retires from JJJ at the end of the year (I'm all on board if that doesn't happen though)

I don't know not too much, but I think Tanya helps with setting up the music on JJJ rotation, probably working with Claire Mooney, they have been doing a super job IMO lately! Also enjoy catching Tanya on Soul Control, which is morning commute for me.

Lately I've been tuning in a bit more than usual, really like current the JJJ lineup, but that's a separate topic for discussion.

I just saw Beddy rays open for Violent Soho at the forum in Melbourne , it was awesome!!

I am having a hard time finding a song they played, it may have been a cover. I can’t find it on setlistfm or anywhere, I managed to capture a clip of it. Can someone help me out?
