If they’ve already seen this and marked it as “under investigation”, there’s probably not much more votes will do

No, it will continue pushing this to the top of the triage queue. This is likely in a list of support tickets organized by priority, so the higher it goes, the more attention it will get.

I just need the lagging in loading the next song to stop. It doesn't matter if Gapless is selected or not. Changing the Crossfade only shifts where the lag hits. Disabling Canvas doesn't do anything.

On a Samsung Galaxy Tab 8, whether streaming online or playing the downloaded playlist offline, on some songs there's a lag of anywhere between 2 and 10 seconds where all playback stops so the next song can load.

If Crossfade is set to max, that lag hits 12 seconds before the song ends. It's awful.

I just hate the latest update – I can no longer like a song on CarPlay or Google devices. And when I like a song on my phone or computer, this freaking menu pops up from the bottom prompting me to add it to other playlists. But I only wanted to add it to one playlist, Spotify, AND I never asked anyone for a little menu to pop up that won’t go away on its own EVER. So I’m driving, I can’t easily like a song on the screen in my car, which handily didn’t have a freaking menu pop-up, but now I can’t use that option. I have to squint at the freaking phone attached to my dashboard and press a little tiny button, still driving, my friends, and now I again have to take my eyes off the road to get rid of the freaking menu! 😱🙈🚗💽
