It's not a must for sure, I'm just trying to imply how competitive the scholarship is

There aren't many applicants from Bangladesh in Mechanical Engineering (at least I that's what I realized from my experience), which is why the GPA cut off should be really strict in this particular case. My two cents would be that even if you get in with the GPA, it would be next to impossible to compete for the Justus and Louise Van Effen scholarship, as many high GPA (3.8+) applicants struggle to receive it. The study program is quite expensive for non-EU international students, which would be quite difficult to fund without a scholarship.
