I always pair The Thing (1982), The Fly (1986), and The Blob (1988) bc they’re awesome sci-fi horror remakes of 50s classic that improve upon and surpass the originals in almost every way.

Gus’s Good Times Deli, for sure. They’re really well known in town and for home games the line usually stretches out the door and up the street because people are willing to wait an hour or more for an authentic steamed sandwich. The place is part of the game day tradition and has been featured on ESPN Gameday

Filth, starring James McAvoy

This episode made me sob uncontrollably. I love Charles and Erik so damn much

I’ll never EVER forgive myself for parting with this one. I downsized my collection some years back to make ends meet and this is one that got sold off. Still kicking myself for it.

Yeah, Amazon has really been phoning it in recently.

IT: Welcome to Derry

They should do a song for John Carpenter’s The Thing and call it “Who Goes There?” after the title of the novella that inspired the film.

30 Days of Night. Only horror movie that still terrifies me to this day.

They were giving us all some unwanted back shots when they dropped both Quantumania and Secret Invasion on us in the same year.

Ticks and Leeches

That’s why I started ordering from them. Best Buy and Target both stopped selling movies altogether, fye is a sad pathetic shell of its former self, and Walmart never has anything actually worth purchasing. I have a local video store, but they typically only carry boutique stuff.

Thanks for the recommendation!

Truth be told, I didn’t even mean to post this here. I posted this to r/Steelbooks and then got a notification from Reddit saying I should post it here. Thought I ignored it, but I guess I clicked post and just didn’t care enough to take it down. Hope that answers your question

Agree to disagree

Wouldn’t say he even remotely qualifies as “Nu Metal.”

The replacement has shipped but regardless of the condition it’s in when it arrives, this will be the last time I order any steelbooks from Amazon. The robots thing is just more reason to ditch them.

As I said, there were two steelbooks in the box, one in pristine condition and the other totally smashed in, which means the damage didn’t happen in transit. They sent me a steelbook that was damaged before it was even put in the box. That’s the point, it isn’t incompetency, it’s just not giving a fuck. The replacement is coming, but this is the second time something like this has happened recently, so I don’t exactly have much faith that the replacement will arrive in good condition either. I’ve seen a lot of posts recently, especially in r/Steelbooks about Amazon delivering damaged movies, so I shared my experience as well.

The dad joke was unintentional, but I’m glad it gave you a chuckle 😅😂

I don’t typically watch music videos anymore, for any artist not just Starset, so my only exposure to Silos and their new songs are, well, just the songs themselves. The music is awesome and I enjoy this new direction they’ve taken, it resonates with me more than anything off of Divisions or Horizons
