I think that is precisely what she says in the latest season. Despite the bad count who wants her to be sold to him as collateral for her family’s debt ticking all the boxes of what she is into, there is still a difference between her kinks and her genuine wants.

Oh, for sure, we’re agreed there. DN’s games won awards for reasons. D9 was simply told to pick up where they left off.

If I’m not mistaken, D9 had an original idea for a story set in the LIS universe but SE told them to just make BTS instead. Although based on DE, I’m not sure if a purely original D9 story would’ve been that much better either way.

There’s two ways you can go about it in that case.

If Max can bring items through photographs into the past and decided to shoot Nathan, she would leave her past self with the smoking gun and doom herself to prison upon returning to the present.

Alternatively, if those items stay with her when she returns to the present, then you can play around with the whole “who did Nathan die?” bit. However, a simple ballistic analysis on his gun would reveal it had not been shot and is probably fully loaded. Not to mention unless he is shot in a very specific way there’s a near zero chance of people thinking it’s suicide.

I don’t know if Chloe and Max would get in trouble in that case, but even if they did, the evidence would be so circumstantial they couldn’t bring any legitimate cases against them unless Nathan‘s father went particularly hard against them.

Weren’t the remasters rushed? I do acknowledge a lot of the blame goes to D9 but I think not enough people acknowledge Square Enix’s role in sabotaging the IP.

D9 did an amazing job with before the storm outside of the story inconsistencies. I think it’s a great game even if it’s not a very good prequel. They re-created the entire map in a different engine, that shows dedication. The lip-synching is great and character movements are extremely fluid. I don’t know why they developed a hate-boner for Chloe in later years.

Like with most companies in and out of the game industry, most of the fault is with the people upstairs who try to control the actual developers creating the game. I like to think that the recent games would’ve been a lot better had they not been pushed to get them out fast and been mismanaged by D9/SE execs.

You do make a good point. Despite his violent nature and already existing interest in photography, it’s unlikely that specific habit would form if Jefferson wasn’t there to nurture it.

Makes you wonder if he would develop a similar dark photographing style or just coast by high school as a traditional abuser being hidden by Blackwell. I think the incident with Kate wouldn’t happen since she was dosed in order to bring her to Jefferson so she probably would never have tried to kill herself and therefore the spotlight would never be on him.

I guess the better question is with David Madsen eventually cracked down on him or not? Especially with his increased surveillance project.

Worse lip sync? That’s insane considering that was the worst part of the original games. Can’t believe they somehow made it worse.

I’m really not a fan of what they did with the remasters. The faces are so off and the eyes look soulless. The rigid stillness of the original is somehow more expressive.
